    Stigs,

With all due respect, no one at Sixpoint ever told you to "go suck eggs." As noted, you were even offered to have a direct, in-person dialogue in Pittsburgh with the President of the company and the brewmaster/production team and you declined.

That offer still stands. You know how to reach us.

    Thanks!

the fact that " they make good beer" (whether this is true or not) not being one of the five reasons kind of invalidates the entire list for me. i mean all that stuff is nice but i couldn't imagine myself explaining why a brewery is my favorite and comment on all attributes besides for the beer they make.

right, if the beer wasn't good, there would be no conversation in the first place

i think the beer is excellent, by far my favorite brewery in NY, and one of the best year round line ups period (said that in another thread) i just thought it was interesting that it would go unmentioned.

additionally, being an observant Jew, i was very grateful that you posted information on your website regarding your use of kosher ingredients.

I disagree. There are many breweries that make great beer - beer as good (or possibly even better) than Sixpoint. The reasons I listed are the reasons Sixpoint is my favorite brewery DESPITE the amount of great beer coming out of places like Lagunitas or Firestone Walker.

In this day and age, it's exceptionally easy to find GREAT BEER. Sixpoint sets itself apart because it is also a GREAT BREWERY.

sure, i was just surprised it went unmentioned that they also make fantastic beer and have one of the best year round line ups out there, but you are right, there was nothing at all "wrong" with your list.

I wish some other breweries/companies in general would take a few notes from Sixpoint. They're really running a professional operation over there and their product kicks ass.

And so many cans... nothing better for the cooler. And they kinda look like energy drinks to the uninitiated... that can be a good thing. :sunglasses:

I love me some sixpoint. I really miss 3Beans in cans though and I'm bummed that I haven't been able to find the new BA 3Beans on tap yet. Gorilla Warfare is pretty stellar too.

One reason I dislike Sixpoint: they don't distribute to NC yet. C'mon guys, you made it to VA, we're not that much farther!

I have loved every beer I have had from Sixpoint. Especially the hop-centric ones. And the slim cans are awesome.

I like them because they take chances with their Mad Scientist series.

    And their beers are consistent.

Plus they are a local brewery and only a few miles from my apt!

    suggestion noted...

keep your eye out for some new ones coming through the pipeline...

sometimes we pay the price for taking those chances...but that's the essence of Mad Science, right? :-)

I would say the biggest reason I don't purchase Sixpoint beers often is the lack of a sessionable (read: <4.5% abv) beer in their regular line-up. I do enjoy the higher abv beers in the slim cans though. I don't need 16 oz. of a 10% beer.

Any plans for anything even sub 5% on the horizon? (and please don't say it's a session IPA)

What you're quoting is from @Harnkus' original post. I can't find that info on the blog, and Sixpoint's only response to if it was or was not a Radler was, "Expect the unexpected. This is not a "radler" - its the "RAD" ;-)."

I'll reserve judgement until it comes out and I get to try it, but if it is indeed anything like a radler, that doesn't help me. I want a BEER. Not to mention, I enjoy Berliner's, but they're far too tart to have say, six of them.
