Saw far I have only broken 2 pint glass One I could replace from the Tun tavern In Atlantic City, And the other was a Bud lite /Philadelphia flyers glass which I had to drink a Bud product (yuck) way back in the late 80's or early 90"s before there was a boom on craft beer

I hate when that happens. I went thru a ton of Antique Pilsner glasses from the 70's my mom gave me, in hindsight they were quite valuable, but I managed to break every single one of them. Now when I use a good glass I immediately rinse it out and put it back. Now I'm back to breaking the occasional martini glass, quite difficult to find great ones, although plain they are very different from each other.

Ouch. I would most upset if one of my favorite pints broke, most likely. Otherwise, the first "craft" glass either of us broke was an Ola Dubh tulip, but admittedly it was rather thin to begin with.

Having a 3 yr old around, I've lost several. The one that was hardest for me to move on w/o was an older DFH pint glass. They don't make them any more. It was my go to glass for years.

I've lost a RR nonic pint and a MoreBeer tulip both recently, fortunately both are replaceable and neither held a particularly special place in my heart, which is espeically good as it was the wife that broke them... only glassware I've broken recently (knock on wood) is my RR growler, much harder to replace since they don't sell them through their online store. :slight_frown:

Just remember, it's not the vessel, but what's inside that counts. Some slid Eastern philosophy that! Still that sucks.

Tragic. I hope you've got another one, because you're going to need it for the VERY big WBAYDN theme day coming up late this summer...

I have never broken a favorite glass. Of course now I will...and I will blame this cursed thread...

I feel your loss. My lady and I just finished moving in to our new place, and I decided it was time to celebrate. So, I grabbed my box of the Libbey Craft Beer glasses and chose a beer. I was tired, but foolishly decided to give 'em a quick wash. I was almost done, when the craft pint slipped and cracked against the bottom of the sink. Not a fancy or favorite glass, just my first. My girlfriend gave them to me as gift when I first started down t path of delicious beer and collecting glassware to enjoy it.

Now I have an incomplete set and a slight fear of unpacking the rest of my glasses. Oh, the pain ... the pain.

I found a sweet snifter at goodwill, it was like a phi beta gamma spring formal '04. Oversized, it was awesome. It cost me a quarter. I broke it before I even got it home.

Although I never replaced my Schneider glass, I do have two "generic" wheat beer glasses ready to step in when called upon!

I hope that will be good enough!

I think just being in Germany is enough.

Just to clarify... are you saying RIP to your glass, or your ex-wife, after you had her killed?

Haha. The glass. And thank god it was just an ex girlfriend and not wife. Or it may have resulted in that
