    Tried a brew from Intuition Ale Works a local Micro in Jacksonville, FL... Jon Boat... a English Golden Ale. Good stuff!

    Making some burgers for a party for my oldest who turns 14 this week. Made up a couple 1/2 pounders for the teenage birthday boy.

    Pretty sure we were drinking Coors Light when he turned 1. Maybe now I wont have to worry as much about him, his friends, and his brother drinking my beer over the next few years.

    It's a beautiful afternoon here in SE CT; just watched Nadal finish up the French Open, where he continues to be the most dominant single-surface player in tennis history (and continues to challenge for the title of "best ever," period, although I'd personally like to see him add to his wins on other surfaces first, as clay is a rather unique surface in the sport). Great hockey game last night (for someone with no dog in the fight), exciting Belmont Stakes, and tonight is game 2 of the NBA finals, featuring my home-town team.

    It's a great weekend for a sports fan, is what I'm saying.

    My first beer of the day is Rakau Showers DIPA by Noble Ale Works, courtesy of @JayORear .

    First time trying out my Beer'd TeKu glass!

    It's quite good, but the Rakau single-hop, it turns out, isn't quite my favorite.

    Slowing it down today; I'm sure the heavier stuff will come along later today (it always does).

    Jim, thanks again for hosting a fun, creative, silly, but again, FUN, event! Congrats to the winners, especially @jzeilinger ; the Belgian Car Bomb could not be beat. What an incredible post!

    Grey, very cool Cthulu pic...and with a submarine, to boot! That instantly makes it 100% cooler than any other Cthulu pic (I may be biased...but that doesn't make me wrong).

    Back-to-back OT losses; up 2 goals in each game; yeah, that's rough. Fun as hell for me, though! NY Rangers are kind of TB Lightning North: notably, Martin St. Louis and Brad Richards. If I had a team to root for, it would be the Rangers (because of St. Louis). So I'd rather they win than lose. But as a fan of the sport more than the team, it's been thrilling thus far.

    greetings fellow beer afficionados! what an absoloutly beautiful summer sunday in the bronx! just made a quick run to my local bottle shop and picked up a few goodies 1)mikkellar beer geek breakfast 12.0z. 2)full sail bourbon barrel imp.stout. 3)firestone pivo pils 4) central waters bourbon barrel stout. 5) oskar blues gubna imperial ipa 6) westbrook ipa.
    just cracked open a westbrook and i am very pleased.what a delicious ipa! needless to say i have a good variety of great beers for the next week. Cheers!
