If Budweiser was the *Only* alcoholic beverage choice, would you be a drinker or not?

With only Snow Beer in front, Budweiser is not only is the King of Beers, it is the Global King of Beers. If Budweiser's attempt at a hop forward or craft beer-like market failed here, in the USA, then what about trying to do something similar, but in a different country, where the image of just what Budweiser is exactly, is more pliable, and maybe in this other country or countries, there wouldn't be such a strong growing market of craft beers to steal the top spots (as craft breweries might not have the distribution)? Maybe Budweiser already has tried that, or is trying that - would appreciate Y'All's input!

And what the heck does Snow Beer taste like! LOL ...never heard of it until I did a search for this thread.

    Cheers,

    Jake

Maybe it's because it's Monday morning, but I can't seem to make the op make sense in my head

But if Budweiser was the only beer, I'd drink wine, spirits etc

Guess I wouldn't be drinking. For me it would be like saying if McDonalds was the only option when eating out, would you still eat out? Also, isn't Tsingtao #2?

You should really try a little harder to make polls that have some bearing on your actual post. Your previous thread that you link here as some odd sort of "evidence" was a total shit-show partly because your poll in that thread had little to nothing to do with the topic, which confounded the discussions. We get it, you and many other people (myself included) don't like BMC beer. It's nothing new... we don't need another poll to "prove" that.

Budwieser's unpalatability is due largely to it's ingredients. The rice is bloating and has a taste like boiled rice water. It's extremely filling and has a flat neutral flavor like those pressed rice crackers. If there were no other alcohol? Well, who can say but there is. I think though that you have hit on the reason why these big companies act the way they do sometimes. Trying to snuff out competition I mean. They don't want you to try what you will like better . They want you to BUY them or nothing.

If Budweiser were the only beer choice I would never buy it, and I would only drink it in contexts where it's offered for free like parties and casinos. I would drink a lot more mixed drinks.

I am surprised so many people wouldn't drink any bud ever, and even start drinking pruno. This isn't some weird theoretical post-apocalyptic future where bud is the only beer, plenty of times at events BMC is the only choice, which is not ideal, but heck it is still beer and plenty drinkable, if not flavorful. I don't *always* go sneaking in fancy beers at when I am out and about...

In some places there isn't much choice over which beer to drink. Hence I'd drink Bud if there was nothing else.

Where is this strong growing market of Craft stealing the top spots? Bud light sells more than than every Craft brewer put together, and only recently did those 4,000ish breweries pass Budweiser.

Also, their craft attempts are still doing ok, judging by posts of trades and people waiting in line for bcbs.

*edit- damn I hate getting roped into two year old threads.
