Worst beer name or artwork

    The micro/craft/pub brewers have come up with a lot of clever attention-getting names for their products, and some creative artwork for the bottles/cans.

    Some, though, are too clever by half and have really bad or cringe-worthy names. Some are just sophomoric. Some of the artwork makes you wonder, "What were they thinking?"

    In MN, there is a Big Wood Brewery. These guys seem to think double entendres based on "wood" are clever.

    They have a coffee stout called "Morning Wood". They have a red ale called "Lil' Red Riding Wood".

    C'mon, guys! People who actually think this is clever or funny are most likely not old enough to drink beer!

    Worse than that, it suggests the owners of Big Wood Brewery view their business as a lark. I visualize "Beavis and Butt-head Start a Brewery".

    Stite Light always comes to mind when I think of bad beer names. I just never thought it was wise of them to name a beer that so closely looked like dirty toilet water with a word that so closely looks like shit.

    Evil Genius has some terrible names. "Purple Monkey Dishwasher" and "I Love Lamp". So dumb.

    Purple Monkey Dishwasher is a Simpsons joke, and I Love Lamp is a line from Anchorman.

    Still stupid names but they aren't random.

    I had a beer the other night called Sloppy Seconds. The label was terrible and the font was a white dripping liquid. It was brewed in Holyoke Mass. Go figure.

    Beers just a past time for most of us and there for enjoyment. It doesn't bother me at all if Big Wood wants to be silly, hell whenever I drink I get silly and am not serious. I think those names are a little funny actually but that's just my 2 cents.
