First beer had zombies on the bottle, now monsters. This is a damn good wee heavy, I wish it were late October though. I'd love to sip this on a chilly evening.

Well, decided to enjoy breakfast with the twins out on the back porch, watching the early groups finish their Sunday morning rounds, and jammin out to some music.

    BCBS for breakfast, just cuz'.

Citra Melon Session Ale from Paw Paw. Perfect summer beer. The hoppiness, seemed like the right word, level is just right for a session ale. It goes down so easy, I could see knocking back a 6 pack in an afternoon. Cheers all

Update from WBAYDN #638 (1, 2)Racked my 10 gallons (split into two batches) of Breakfast Stout over to the secondary today after 14 days in the primary.

Left: 3 g Cinnamon Stick, 3 oz Bakers chocolate, 3 oz cocoa nibs, 2 vanilla beans (split and scraped), and 2.5 oz fresh roasted (Friday) coffee from Great Ship Menagerie Coffee Co (Cincinnati). Right: The same minus Vanilla Bean & Cinnamon stick. Something is missing....

Ah, that looks better! 2g (3/4 tsp) of Cayenne powder! Aging for a month, possibly bottling a gallon of each to send to people (as much as it pains me to do so), kegging the rest. 4 Gallons in each secondary, can't wait to bring it to a good buddies wedding in September!

So much wasted beer :slight_frown: Kills me every time, need a homebrew size centrifuge!

Had an extra 13 Vanilla Beans, so rather than worry about them going bad from being stored badly, figured I'd make some Vanilla Extract. I don't bake sweets, much less enjoy them, so I'm thinking christmas gifts? 16 Oz of bottom-shelf vodka and 13 madagascar bourbon vanilla beans.

And my first beer in about a week and a half, and it's flat! Well, good thing it's supposed to be! A 2.5 oz sample from each fermenter, tasting pretty delicious right now! Since my buddy accidentally gave me 6 oz of coffee instead of the 5 I asked for, making some fresh roasted coffee next! OG: 1.084, FG: 1.016, ABV ~ 9.0%. Cheers BA!

Mmm. Interesting to compare to Myron's Walk, as this is labeled a Belgian blonde and Myron's was a Belgian pale.
This was much smoother and with more citrus, and maybe a slight edge of yeasty tartness. Real nice.

Bonus material: tail end of my Tater Ridge found company with some bacon-wrapped scallops...
