One of my favorite styles, but not that easy to come by. A recent stop at Trillium and a taste of their awesome Sunshower had me wanting to pick one up for friends coming over for dinner this past weekend to no avail. Other than The Lost Abbey Carnevale, are there any widely distributed dry hopped saison/ farmhouse ales?

May as well start with the best. Saison Dupony dry hopped, brewed I believe exclusive fir the US market. I think they use different hops each release, but last years was brilliant.

It's not widely distro'd but the Citra saison from pipeworks was an absolute success if I don't say so myself.

not the regular dupont Saison, just to be clear, which for some reason we never get in my area.

I don't know if it's dry-hopped in recipe but Tank 7 is a pretty hoppy Saison.

I thought the 2013 Saison du Pont Cuvee Dry Hopping (Sorachi Ace) was good, but I prefer Brooklyn Sorachi Ace for price, availability, and freshness

@TheJermis , who works for Boulevard Brewing posted the below concerning Tank 7:

"Magnum and Bravo are for bittering and the Amarillo is utilized at the end of the boil, in the whirlpool, and then again in dry hopping. You're getting the big fruit flavor from a combination of the Belgian yeast and the big Amarillo hop character."

    Cheers!

Well, I'm not sure that I'd consider The Lost Abbey to be "widely distributed", but to the point of the question, as far as I'm concerned the best (Tank 7) has already been named. It really is the standard-bearer for dry-hopped saisons in my opinion.

But it's one of my favorite sub-styles in general, and here are a few others (I think all of these have a larger distro footprint than Lost Abbey):
    • Firestone Walker Opal (Hallertau Blanc)
    • Prairie Artisan Ales Prairie Hop (Simcoe/Citra - just hit shelves recently in my area)
    • Prairie Artisan Ales Prairie Standard (Motueka - this one is back by popular demand and should be out in the next month or so)
    • Odell Wellspring (No idea what hops are used, and this one was a Roots Release, which meant it only came in Odell's seasonal 12-packs. I only list it here because I wish they would release it again)

Love hoppy saisons, but most I've had aren't widely distributed, just stuff from local breweries. Wicked Weed's mosaic saison is ridiculously awesome, probably my favorite of any beer I've had from them.

I don't think it's widely distributed, not sure if you can get it in the Massachusetts area where you are but Anchorage Brewing makes one called Love Buzz (plus with lots other wonderful stuff added into it). One you might want to keep an eye out for, but I think Anchorage has most of it's distribution on the West coast it seems, but they show up sparingly here from time to time.

    Real enjoyable too I think.

Oh shit, how could I forget this one? Just got several bottles of it for the first time since the first or second batch from 2012 and it's a fan-freaking-tastic beer. Although I will emphasize your point about lots of other stuff being added to it. That wonderful stuff makes it an amazing beer, but also causes it to depart a little bit from the core characteristics of other dry-hopped saisons, at least to my tastebuds.

But still, it's out of this world as saisons go.

I know it wasn't widely available, but I have to mention Crooked Stave Double Dry-Hopped Vieille as one of my absolute favorites.

I'll add to the list of saison dupont cuvee, this year's and last were both very good. A fresh tank 7 is always a winner for me.

Wow, kind of blown away that Pretty Things' Jack d'Or has not been mentioned yet. Very hoppy and complex saison which I can get in CA so I imagine most of the country can find it too.

Better even than the Saison Dupont Cuvee Dry Hopping?

Despite loving saisons (both hoppy and non), I actually don't like Tank 7 very much. It's too sweet and has too high an ABV.

Revolution Coup D'etat (Spalt), is a pretty good dry-hopped Saison.
