From what I remember of size 11, it reminds me of a slightly toned down version of it. I got a lot of the same characteristics out of it.

That's weird, I heard it was a completely different hop profile than size 11. I'm heading over there to check it out for the first time tonight. I like everything these guys put out.

It has been a while since my last Size 11. But the aggressiveness and tongue tingling of the hops in Sticker Fight reminded me of Size 11, just toned down a bit. I also felt it had the same juice aroma. I remember not liking my first Size 11, but it growing on me. Either way, I don't think you will be disappointed. This is one of the best DIPAs I have had in a while.

I could really go for a Size 11 right about now.

Sticker fight is juicier ala Vermont DIPA's and Size 11 is a bit drier ala Pliney to me. But that's just my opinion.

I had 8 recently and really enjoyed it. Of course, they make more than one batch so it is possible some was infected but I've never had anything like that happen from Surly. Also, I know it's completely different but 7 was much, much better aged. 7 was pretty good already but we had one a few weeks back that was a little over a year old and it was fantastic.

I always thought that to but Sucks only holds up if you have it by itself then it tastes like Abrasive Jr..... Side by Side Abrasive puts it out to pasture and leaves it there.

Sucks is not even close to Abrasive, in any category, IMO.
I can't think of anything that's remotely close to Abrasive actually.
That's what makes it so special to me.
    Just fantastic.

Also, Abrasive's shelf life is unparalleled.

To anybody that thinks that I challenge them to do a side by side. The hop flavor is identical IMO. The malt profile and bitterness levels is where the two diverge.

And if people get their wish and Abrasive becomes year round, so hello to 6+ month old Abrasive sitting in the cooler. People will be posting where to find the freshest Abrasive.

I've done them side by side - not even close.

I don't want this to become year round for exactly that reason as well.
Also, I couldn't afford it year round.
