Bad Trader: BarofGold

What we need is a beer version of "Catch a Contractor" show with Adam Corolla. Maybe @F2brewers , @blue-dream, Adam and Skip show up at the home of the bad trader in question. They give him three choices:

1) Cough up the money for the beer
2) Return beer
3) Or they come to the court of BA for a public flogging!

 

Not to be late to the party here, but I had a firmed up trade agreement with this guy earlier in the year. He didn't have the bottles in hand that he was gonna send me, and tried to convince me to go ahead and send mine and he assured me he was good for it. I refused, as I explained to him that I'd had issues in the past with that, and after that he just totally flaked out on the trade.

 

He's obviously been online since this thread has started as he's adjusted his privacy settings to not show when he is/was online

 

So has he been in contact with Ya when you text him? Did you call him out on the fake phone number? Did he ask where you got the new number from?

What was the trade for? I'd he's from Santa Rosa, was he sending you RR?

 

Sent him a box 10 days ago with some Kuhnhenn bottles.

Still hoping for a box in return...

 

You should have told them it was beer, and let them destroy the box, if it's going to be lost I'd rather it hit the shit can in this case. They don't enforce the alcohol thing anyway so getting in trouble is not likely.

 

Damn, I traded with this guy on another site a year or so ago, still owes me a 4pk of heady!

I used BarofGold as an example of members listed under Good Traders List and Bad Traders List (under Trading page). Basically, I did not agree that BarofGold deserved to be on the Good Traders List with one bad trade, at that time, and a large number of good trades. After a lot of back and forth with Jason (with some posts deleted), Jason changed the Good/Bad trading lists. It is better now. BarofGold actually posted, but did not answer my question, if he made it right with that one bad trade, at the time, with @Aespi. Aespi, you didn't answer before, on my thread, but maybe you might now, on this thread?

 

So on Nov 25th he is defending himself, saying he deserves to be good trader and on Dec 25th, he's boning someone else? That is brass balls right there.

 

If he would have told FedEx it was beer then they would have flagged his account. And they do enforce it. Here is a recent letter sent to a dude who had one of his out going boxes sent back by FedEx because it contained alcohol. http://i.imgur.com/gZbRb4Q.jpg

 

That's when you explain the bottles are "unfermented, re-capped, yeast samples intended for homebrewing, cooking and sex acts with a more than willing partner".

 

As a heads up many people have received that letter and continue to trade without worry. It's apparently more of a CYA thing than a flagging of an account thing. They have found me sending beer and I still send far too many boxes out.

 

Wow. That's just awful that someone would do that to you.

 

Can someone point me in the direction of this bad traders list? Google is no help. @NiceBeerCans ?

I don't know, it is from a senior paralegal, after all. If it was a junior paralegal I wouldn't worry but they're bringing out the big guns here!
