    brew more.
    Though it likely wont happen between the wife and I, attempt to actually age some stuff. I'm terrible at not drinking

    Sell back all of my growlers. The old law required me to buy glass from the brewery selling the beer, but that is no longer a requirement in MN. Plus, most breweries will give me a pint for the growler, so it's as if I have free beer tickets in my closet.

    2014 was the worst year ever for me personally outside of beer, so of course, more beer, more beer for 2015 then, right?

    I agree, 'the hunt' and certain aspects of the culture has become tiresome. But don't worry, there are literally hundreds of high quality beers sitting on the shelves of your friendly bottling shop waiting to be consumed (and you don't even have to travel out of state and wait in line to get them!). I'm going to expand my craft import consumption this year. Thats a huge section of the bottle shop that I've neglected over the past few years.

    Got a Mr. Beer system for Christmas. I will try to brew with that. Slowly gain some equipment. Learn more about beer. Also visit some of these breweries that are popping up in the Black Hills.

    Do you have any beer resolutions for 2015?

    I believe mine will be to experiment less. More times
    than not I've tried something new only to be dissapointed.
    So in 2015 I will stick more to the beers I know and like.
    I'll try some new ones here and there, which can still be fun,
    but not as many as I have in the past.

    How about you?

    I am going to better adhere to the principles of "Don't spend the douchebag dollar", i.e., don't give your money to people who...

    price gouge,
    short pour,
    deal cheater pints,
    intentionally or by lack of effort misrepresent what is what,
    don't clean their lines well or often,
    don't know how to keep cask beer or keep it far too long,
    don't store their beer well,
    don't pull a beer off when it's 'off' and instead push through it one rotten pint at a time at my and your expense,
    don't make good when they need to make good,
    don't know/care how to clean their glassware,
    aren't good beer people,
    aren't good to beer people,
    and any of the other dozen bad bar behaviors that offend me. There are far too many good places to support, with good beer, served by good beer people with good beer behaviors. Say it with your dollar.

    Some of you need to do a lot better or leave. You know who you are, NYC.

    In 2015 I hope to:

    continue looking for good, lower-abv options that aren't "session IPAs";
    drink more beer on cask;
    write more tipsy, late-night mash notes (GET IT??) to my favorite brewers;
    and try not to drop my next phone in the f'n toilet so I can get back to posting pics on the WBAYDN threads, grumble grumble grumble.

    Visit more breweries to try their beers straight from the source and shoot the sh*t. :wink:

    I've tried something new just to be disappointed. I'm going
    to stick to the beers I know and like. I'll still dabble a little
    here and there, but not as much as I did in 2014.

    Mine:

    - Stop buying beer impulsively when I have too much already in the fridge
    - Start home brewing

    1. Continue to expand good relations with 2 local brewers who produce quality brews.
    2. Promote said brewers to any and all who might listen.
    3. Make a short trip to enjoy/expand my knowledge of FingerLakes, NY brewers.
    4. Find 3 reasonably-priced beers that are worth saving long-term for future enjoyment.

    Quality over quantity here too. I drink everyday at the current moment so their is definitely room for improvement.

    1: Budget

    2: Keep a tight inventory (Fresher beers and not so many randoms)

    3: Get Bells Black note, last year I got 4 BA black Out's, 4 BCBS, 2 bombers of BA Imperial Biscotti and 12 KBS plus I'm sure many other random BA stouts... Black note ALWAYS eludes me!

    Track the beer I drink better, I'm developing a workbook that will highlight my 15 most recent, and display my top 10 in a bar graph. Find more Cantillon, try some Russian River, Surly and Toppling Goliath. Lastly I echo several previous comments like: drink less but drink better, home-brew more and exercise regularly.
