Info #2: Will have a kick ass metal beer in a growler since a brewery I love is finally filling gowlers of all of their on-tap after going a week and a half over no growlers or just one house beer available for fills.

It should be noted that I'm not actually participating in this; no one has me as their sender nor their target. @beertunes at one point told me I'm getting a box anyway, but this is not necessary.

Doh! Beat me to it. Though I gotta say, a Baltimore Oriole would have been a good dark horse candidate (unless he, too, is actually from Texas).

I *may* have unintentionally mislead my target. His shipping address provided does not match the info on his avatar box. Most of the latter, more specific hints are based on his shipping state rather than the area. I will say my target's state donated land to this area.

I already counted you out as my shipper(the last hint did it), but that hint kinda fits me ???

A ton of his hints fit both of us, especially that last one; I immediately thought of our avatars. But...there's enough vagueness left, as well.

(FWIW, I made 20 words out of Connecticut in 2 minutes, so I think it's a pretty viable candidate for 23 in 6. ).

After spending the last couple of days going over the hints more closely, I am no closer to guessing my sender than I started. I suspect that - much like my target - my sender is staying away from this thread.

Or maybe the dozen or so extra hours (and at weird times) I've been spending at work the past week has dulled me to an even greater extreme than the norm.

I can't believe I overlooked all your hints on my spreadsheet, so much for that tool. I think each was vague enough that I didn't give them much weight (and I had no idea my GF's, whom I basically live with in VA, city was 7.9 sq mi until I Googled it). I figured whoever my gifter was might use hints directed at shipping location.

At a few points I did recognize I was still your potential sender (13 colonies, Appalachian Trail, 2 HS). I think I let slip above I do not root for my local team, but I am guessing you went to Mich St ? I also figured @gopens44 is from VA, and most of the hints could have applied to @Shroud0fdoom as far as I knew; I didn't really consider looking if they had learned their senders yet.

I am happy to be getting Michigan beer, as they have some good stuff from there that we get here (Founders, Crooked Tree, Bells, for example). Can't wait!!

Hell, the Murphy-Murphy tie-in was too good to believe. I've always been an Orioles fan, but never a Cowboy fan!

Phew!! I realized something might've been askew when you weren't picking up on what I thought were obvious clues about Springfield. Also I didn't think I could give vague clues based on DC to keep you guessing. Yep I went to MSU too.

Weather wise looks good, your package will probably go out on Monday!

Okay, off-topic (like it's ever stopped me before), and I don't know if you are from Richmond, but if so, @gopens44, you have a new complication in your life - defending this:

I'm just familiar enough with their namesake that I'd worry about what fluids were mixing with my beer.

Sorry - just being snarky. At 5 foot 5 Murphy doesn't fit the prevailing vision of a Texan. I was battalion color bearer at his memorial ceremony at division headquarters in Wurzburg in 1971.

Having seen pictures of him I knew he was rather slight, but I had no idea he was that short. That's Alan Ladd-Al Pacino territory. I've never seen any of the movies Murphy was in but now I wonder if they resorted to the same trickery as for Ladd (shooting from the waist up, digging trenches for female costars to walk in, etc).

HaulHint #3: In animation, inebriation is often depicted with a red nose. In THIS animation, that feature signifies something different. However, if one of the main character's Bumbling FRIENDS had this feature instead of the main character, we would be closer to the name of this beer.

Alternately, and probably in poor taste: Nbgbsbki.

Been absent from this thread but just read through it and figured that I better give up a few hints for my target:
    1. He has less total posts than I do
    2. He hasn't posed on this thread yet
    3. He has rated less than 10 beers from California and less than a 100 beers in total
    4. There is a major city in his state that has its name included in a comedy show on FX. The characters in the show run an Irish pub
    5. He will receive his box a little later than the 22nd but I'll be making up for it with at least one Russian River beer and some Evil Twin beers also

Gonna have to read through all the hints again and see if I can figure out who my sender is! Cheers all and see you guys in NBS tomorrow.

Hmmm. Just getting caught up here. Not a clue who has me. My BIFer should be getting his package Wednesday or Thursday and it went west to a state with less that 5 syllables. :stuck_out_tongue:

Just got home from Buzzards Bay Brewery, picked up the second half of my shipment. Sending it out on Monday, hope my target enjoys it!

Oh, and another tip: No matter where you are in my target's state, your never more then six miles from a large natural water source.
