I bought a bottle of Labatt Bourbon Barrell Ale because I thought it might have potential. I think it is the worst beer I've ever tried. Other than the obvious beers intended for alcoholics, what is the worst beer you've ever had?

I don't drain pour. I don't like to speak ill of any beer. But Camo is a struggle.

I thought of Camo, but that is one of those beers designed for winos, not something trying to be a sophisticated drinker's buy.

Feel free to say what is so bad about those beers. Here's my review of the Labatt Bourbon Barrel Ale:
Smells like a wax candle labelled "Cheep Hooker". Taste follows up more on the wax candle part of things. Definite paraffin, like opening a drawer in my grandmother's house that hasn't been opened in 20 years but had some kind of freshener in it. I have no idea what the word Bourbon is doing on the label, it tastes like some kid stole from his dad's bottle and replaced it with his mom's perfume. As for the mouthfeel, I get the whole wax thing, but I think it's just my sense of smell giving that suggestion. Honestly, picture straining a cheep beer through a pair of your grandma's old hosiery that had been sitting in a cedar dresser with candles and a Bounce fabric softener. I guess during the Prohibition your options were limited, but there's always aftershave. This is one of the worst beers I remember drinking, I can't think of a worse one offhand.

Shiner Bock is up there. As well as all sours.

But my worst beer ever, the only beer I couldn't finish and had to pour down the drain is My Blueberry Nightmare. Who drinks this shit? It smells and tastes like nail polish remover. After tasting it I thought I had to call the poison control hotline. Worst part was it was waste of like $12.

Gotta be Wild Blue http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/29/26049/ yuck.

The head looks like no color of purple in the known universe and it tastes like the flavor was developed by a guy that had 27 tries to come up with blueberry Kool Aid and was finally fired because he couldn't nail it so he got a job at AB and made this abomination. It really is that bad.

Please don't. The label makes it sound good and tasty. Go take that money and buy a 12pk of Miller Lite or spend it on lottery scratch offs. At least the Lite is drinkable and you may win money on the tickets.

I can literally remember the smell and acrid taste. Making me shudder as I type this. Need a swig of 077xx......

It was the first Cigar City beer I ever tried. I was so excited and then quickly so disappointed.

Most winos that I've talked to under the bridge always want a quart of Milwaukees Best. Never had 'em ask for Camo.

Yuengling, not so much because it is basically brown BMC but it is cheap, horrible swill and folks who don't know better lap it up and comment on this site about it as if it is some kind of magical adjunct that surpasses all others and is allowed in the craft beer club. It isn't, it's swill and unless you have a neck beard and are "so over" PBR please step away from this disgraceful excuse for a beverage!

When I worked in a liquor store I drank a pony bottle of Bud, dated 1996. It just got lost in the walk-in on the top shelf along with other random broken shit. It was 2001 when I drank it. It wasn't bad actually. Remember it was flat but it wasn't even close to the ones I listed above.

Any of the mixed six pack (5 beers plus a glass) I received as part of a tour package of the Minhas "Craft" Brewery in WI.
Huber Bock, Swiss Style Amber, 1845 Pilsner all tasted like macro crap; their Imperial Jack "IPA" tasted awful, no hops at all; and the Lazy Mutt Farmhouse Ale, which was supposed to be a saison, was anything but.
Also ended up with a few other varieties from my friends' six packs, such as some awful malt liquor they contract brew for some other beverage company.
Trying those beers was horrible...I poured each one, tasted it enough to do a quick review, and drain poured every single one.
Even the glass they gave you was cheap.
