Another DNT @3_floyds_local_13 I didn't lose any beer so its not a big deal for me, but just looking out for other BA traders just in case. Worked out a deal, exchange information and confirmed a trade request on 02/11/15. He advised me that he had to wait to ship due to weather conditions on his side(which I understand). On 02/27/15 I ask for any updates and he said the following: You can ship middle of this week. Wednesday or Thursday. End of the cold for the season is Thursday. I'll be shipping Monday no fail so it's out of my region by Thursday. I get no responses or further updates until Monday 03/09/15 saying that he has some unfortunate events lately(once again I understand shit happens, no big deal)...but then he goes on to say "I just dropped the package off at OfficeMax where fedex picks up our packages." He gives me a tracking # that just says a shipping label has been created, I give it a few days to update which it has not, and have not heard back from the trader since.
I don't blame ya one bit. He's obviously lying, and for what reason? Added to my DNT list also. Thanks.
Thats unfortunate. I traded with him not too long ago and had no issues whatsoever. Op where in California are you located? Seems like you have been having bad luck with trades lately and I feel like I need to buy you a beer.
Woah woah woah. I've had some shit going on personally in my life but that box shows its set to deliver tomorrow morning. I haven't been on here to even see anything. Wow. Really? A callout post? Was not necessary.
I created a bunch of labels and apparently gave you the wrong shipping number. 780329999666 Clearly shows it shipped last week. Sorry I have been absent of conversation but j am not a bad trader. Just had a bad run of things lately that I've been too busy to check here. Anyone who has ever traded with me knows I'm a great trader and I have 100% positive feedback.
You understood shit happens. I told you I shipped. I did in fact ship otherwise your box wouldn't be arriving tomorrow morning with exactly what the trade was for with an extra. It's a 5-6 business day trip from here to Cali so it's not like I shipped cuz I got called out. Understand where you were coming from with this post but now that we've all determined nobody was shafted, you were getting your promised bottles well before this post and I am in fact NOT a bad trader can we pull this down? See no reason to further smear my name.
Just got one awhile ago. You said you created a bunch of shipping labels and got mixed up with sending me the wrong one. The original # you sent me was 7730 8401 7746, which is set for delivery to Santa Clarita(Where I am located), which is a very uncommon spot with very few BA members so im trying to figure out how that was the wrong tracking #. So I don't know how that got mixed up with another Santa Clarita tracking #. Anyway, beer is on its way. Thanks everyone
Yoitsarch, I've set up shipments on fedex ahead of time & when I went to print the labels was unable to do so. I then had to generate a new shipment with a different # to get a label. My personal rule is to never give people tracking #s until the boxes are with the carrier. Several times, if I'd given my trading partners the # when I initiated the shipment, rather than after I'd made the drop, it would have been a bogus #. A could of times people I've traded with have had that happen but they got me the correct tracking # before I caught it. Perhaps something similar happened here. It doesn't appear that he was scamming if in fact the box was en route to you prior to this thread being opened. I request email & cell info & set it up so that people automatically receive tracking info & updates. FedEx automatically provides notifications which alleviates the possibility of giving people the wrong tracking #. In any case people should never provide tracking info until the packages are safely with the carrier.
Although a fair warning by the OP I don't see the need to create the post when you had a tracking number, albeit the wrong one, until the said package was to arrive. And since you're not out beer, you actually will receive first. I agree that nothing here was ideal or optimal, but you acknowledge that you understood his weather and life issues. A little patience in this situation and I think then a deserving post could've been created or of course the trade completed. Seems to be working out, and in the end that's good news!
Except for the whole bad feedback already being left...not sure who will come out looking worse from this one. Cheers guys!
Are you planning on updating the bad feedback you left for him? Seems like it's the right thing to do...
This shouldn't be a bad trader thread. OP should've read the rules before posting. http://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/how-to-create-a-bad-trader-thread.258091/
Thanks for the feedback, everything is situated right now. Just a communication issue and I believe I did have a lot of patience on this one. I didn't just jump straight to it until I realized it was a month already. And my bad @Todd , I read the rules before I posted but guess I may have looked past a few things
