Butthurt everywhere. If you don't like the other guy why dignify it with a response? If you don't like the thread why follow it? So you can troll?

Seems like a lot of truth has come out today. We have confirmation that no to-go sales will be done. We know the bands. We're making progress

Isn't it great living in a free country? I don't like to bother with most of the new wave of craft beer fans so I guess we see eye to eye on the subject.

As for rumours, I'm maintaining there will be no Zombie Dust that weekend.

I heard that the guy from One Direction actually quit since DLD didn't book them.

Let's be honest, at 35 pages (much more to come, I'm sure), this is more of an entertainment thread than anything else. So all the bad stuff is part of the fun! From rumors to complaints to fighting, the whole thing is an ongoing train wreck (interspersed with excitement about drinking beer and hearing metal).

I only bought DLD tickets this year so I could post in this thread, I don't even plan on going...

I, for one, think Big Freedia is awesome. And while I'd never heard of CoC before learning they'd be in the DLD lineup, I liked what I heard when I gave some of their stuff a listen on YouTube & was looking forward to checking them out live next month. Hopefully they'll be on at different times so I won't be forced to pick.

Was anyone that concerned about those that brought in Coors? Also Three Floyds including that last bit about not bringing in corner store beers will not have an impact on those that plan to bring BMC anyways. I mean come on.

Any thoughts on when tickets at the pub will go on sale this year?

Sure you can bring in Coors in your cooler backpack if you really want to. But they aren't going to let you waltz in with a case of Coors light or a 30 pack of PBR

That reminds me to actually look up all the bands playing on Youtube and see if I dig any of them.

So Three Floyds really got Obituary and CoC? Oh for the love of god. It's going to be a very long day. I've never made it to the end before, but it looks like I have to this year.

I made it to the end one year, but I took a 2 hour break in the middle of the day. At a certain point you just hit a wall and don't even care that vanilla bean dark lord is on tap with no line.

One year I had 6 bottles or so that I didn't get to by the end of the day and just gave them away to random people. Or opened it, took one sip and left it on a random table.

I made it to the end last year for the first time (I started about 7am that morning) and I also took a long break in the middle of the afternoon. Ate some food, took a little nap and just relaxed. Definitely missed out on some special tappings but it was worth it to take a break. Best times of the day to be at DLD IMO, are the first few hours and the last few hours. I plan on trying to make a repeat performance of last year.

Sounds like you guys need more practice, or just figure out a proper pace, it's a marathon, not a sprint. 2014 was the only year (of the 3 years) I didn't make it to the end, but that was more because of being unprepared for the weather. Instead I went back the the Hampton and drank until 2 in the lobby.

They will have dust on tap. Try space station middle finger if they have that. I personally think it's better than dust.

I get the whole not a sprint/it's a marathon thing but I tend not to pace myself ever. That's just how I roll.

Residence Inn in Hammond Fri night, where's the shares?

I'll be staying at dld later than I ever have this year, mainly because I got group E instead of a or b like I always have in the past!

Long day, so I'm bringing lots and lots of Homebrew...
