Their online inventory is pretty up to date, go in with a game plan. Make up your list before you go and grab a clerk to help fill it as soon as you get there. Ten minutes is nowhere near enough time browse their stellar selection.

    Negotiate for 30 minutes.

I visited there the first time a couple weeks ago and really enjoyed. I spent around an hour there, but I reviewed their selection a couple times to make sure I didn't miss anything good.

Easier to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission. Have fun.

Mikkeller Beer Geek Brunch Weasel - if you haven't had it before. Around $10/bottle though.

"This imperial Oatmeal stout is brewed with one of the world’s most expensive coffees, made from droppings of weasel-like civet cats. The fussy Southeast Asian animal are picky and will eat nothing but the best and ripest coffee berries. Enzymes in their digestive system aid the process of breaking down the beans which brews a strong, fist-in-the-air flavored coffee.
Who would’ve thought drinking beer that started its journey travelling through the insides of a weasel, would taste this good?"

Hoping to find Sunday morning and will look at mikkeller and evil twin offerings. It's been awhile, but last time there stocked up on even more Jesus. Web site is not cooperating as far as import inventory goes

Assuming you are mostly shopping in-state, you are actually in NJ, and you are shooting for out of distro...

    I'd look at:
    Mikkeler(any beer geeks)
Evil Twin(donut or biscotti break, maybe)
    Nebraska
    Against the Grain
    Tilquin
    Stillwater

They had at least something from all those last time I was there.

Your budget & style preferences can make the final choices.

They have a pisser in there, ask for more time and tell the family to take advantage. I usually am limited but in time due to toddler in car so it's doable, but not ideal.

Might as well just apologize to your wife right now because no way is 10 minutes long enough. :sunglasses:

I stopped in for the first time yesterday afternoon on the drive home from Philly, and a half hour passed before I even knew it. Selection is almost overwhelming, but that's always a good thing. Just a heads up, I grabbed the last full 4-pack of Sunday Morning Stout that was on the shelf at the time (there were 3 separated bottles left), not sure if they had any more to put out.

I can't spend only ten minutes in there when I know what I'm going to pick up.

Now you all have incited my desire for a "road trip"! Luckily it's not too far down the road from Philly:wink:

Send the family to Wawa just down the road for a pit stop to extend your 10 min. if possible.

Mikeller, Evil Twin and the De Molen are all on one isle end opposite of the Magnum bottles as you get to the US centric craft beer section. Next to the Magnums is their English selection and BrewDog is there with their out of production 18% Tokyo* if that is your cup of tea.

Great selection of Stillwater on the lower shelves just before the Stone selection.

Weyerbacher is next to the growler station and have multiple years of Reserva and had Sunday Morning last week. Against the Grain is next to the Weyerbacher stuff. Allagash Midnight Brett was in stock last Friday also but was low (2 on shelf).

All canned beer is in it's own area with the cider between craft beer coolers. Millstone Cellars out of MD makes some great tart and funky cider.

If you want anything recently released and you don't see it ask, they will "look in the back" for you. Good luck, good folks work there so don't hesitate to take them up when they ask "can I help you."

Have been going there for years and agree it's great place. Didn't realize however they were holding stuff in the back which probably explains why I have never found the real hard to find stuff there. So are you saying they get BCBS, KBS, Parabola, etc there in season?
