Yeah, 'cause icebergs need people to start chipping away at them, you know...since they're all holding up so well these days.

I think this must be just marketing right? Reminds of that Simpsons episode where they harvest ice from the north pole to take to the Kwik-E-Mart.

sure "tasted" like marketing, but if you had a 15 story tall iconic gimmick float past your brewery and can see 4 more in the distance wouldn't you try?
Id rather have an "iceberg beer" than another pepto-bismol pink bottle rogues abomination or this http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/14400/163593/

Actually, a couple places near me are supposed to get some, so I will be ticking space beer!:stuck_out_tongue:

On one of the space shuttle flights, a crew member took along some hops, and then gave them to his local brewpub. So Ninkasi will have at least the second space beer.

Its a lot easier and cost way less to hop in a boat off the coast of NFLD and break off some iceberg chunks before they get too far south and melt away than to send something off into space for shits and grins.
Maybe if the hops were grown in zero gravity it might be a lot cooler (no not an iceberg pun).

Would i still try "space beer" hell yeah. I mean i tried a bottle of rogues pink death aka http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/132/72720/

Quite a few distillers etc. use iceberg water for is supposed purity, depending on where you source your water there might be truth to this claim. This is marketing but it isn’t entirely unfounded. Such water is probably put to better use in a vodka than a beer for optimal results etc.

While certainly gimmicky, I suppose I'd try one, just to say I had a beer that killed the Titanic.

Thought this thread was going to be about which beer you would want in your hand when your luxury liner hit the iceberg and started sinking. F this, I'm getting into one of those lifeboats!
