Stout BIF Round 4 Hints & Hauls

The Eagle has landed, there will be some pron tonight

 

Ran a couple numbers on the three boxes @luwak has received/will receive...

Total haul of 518oz, with an rAvg of 4.12, for an average score of 91.7. Counting only the top 144oz, however (had I sent only the minimum and no 'extras') the box looks a bit better... at this point the rAvg is 4.36 for an average score of 96.6.

 

Just a heads up that at that time it may be standing room only. I'll see if I can get there a little early (if work allows) and see if I can snag a table/booth.

 

I am glad to hear that others buy multiple beers at one time in order for one/some of them to warm up.

 

Don't they know who the hell you are?? Figured you'd for surz be VIP.

 

If by that you mean Very Ignorant Person then yes I am! I hope to get there early, really, to bribe the staff to treat me decently in front of out-of-towners.

@jbdpsu82 the box made it back... or at least most of the contents made it back. In a new box, individually wrapped then bagged with some added packing material (exhibit A):



Three bottle are MIA so I assume that means three breakages, which is insane IMO, but the glass is fine and the rest of the bottles were returned. I'll get it situated and try to replace the damaged ones (one of them will be damn near impossible sadly) and send 'er out again.

 

@core42 bomb confirmed with my wife. I'm out of town, so pron must wait until tomorrow. Thankfully I have a concrete stoop, rather than a raised porch.

 

Digging into my box from @dust_bunny now that I am back in town. The wife hated this, but what does she know. Killer box, just killer!

 

I won't be able to get there much earlier, have to drop off my son at 5:30 here locally. Standing room works if that is all there is, I'm not too picky.

This is great, I'm just wondering what another year would do to it.

 

Don't try to get there early on my behalf. Work should keep me so busy that even I may not be able to get there early at all.

Tables and/bar space usually opens at a decent rate and I know a person or two so we'll see

 

Wife hated it? I never met anybody who didnt gush over it.

Just found out when trying to book a room, that it is an event weekend, some car show in Charlise. Might be even a little more crowded, we'll survive.
