Bad trade with Sergeh

    Agreed to a trade in early April with @Sergeh. I was the OP and wanted to grab 8 Pliny for a party in early May. @Sergeh replied and said he could hook me up. I agreed to send 8 Heady and 8 Sip of Sunshine. He agreed to send the Pliny once the next release took place. I appreciated his flexibility since it would help me get the Pliny fresh for my 5/2 party.

    Everything arrived for him on 4/16. I asked him about his status on 4/22 and he said no worries, I'd have the Pliny for my party in time. I have messaged him 3 times since then with no response. Disappointing that I sent him $60 of beer plus $25 in shipping and received nothing in return. I will get over it but hopefully he doesn't do this to someone else.

    Who knows, someday he may send me the beer. But the communication has been nonexistent and it seems like a bum deal at this point.

    Looks like the other is not resolved either.

    With 23 trades, I would not think he would be an issue. I would say something could have happened to him but he responded on 4/30 to the other trader and ignored you. And he hasn't been on since 5/4.

    Definitely a bad trader at this point.

    With Serge's history, this would be the last guy to depend on to ship something that needed to be received in a timely manner. Sorry to hear this OP, you may be screwed, hopefully you get your beer. Do you have his cell phone number?

    Also mods, from other Serge threads where questionable trading practices were called, Serge indicated two people are trading off of the same account. How is this allowed? This guy needs to be banned.

    He hasn't been on in a month, and with what i have available to me he checks out with only 1 account. Maybe @Todd can look into this more if he has a moment. @Todd this user has 2 on going bad trader threads as we speak….

    I just meant that it cost me $25 to ship the beer to him so I was "out" that money as well. I realize that's part of the transaction and not factored in the value of the beer. But it appears to be wasted money on top of the cost of the beer.

    I have his address but no contact number. I've chalked this one up to a learning experience and will be more careful. It's a shame because there are so many great traders out there. Will probably just stick with the ones I'm comfortable with in the future.

    Your 16 for his 8 seems very one sided anyway.... I have traded for all 3 beers involved and they are not that far apart. Hope this gets worked out and you at least get your beer.

    Yeah, I am probably a little high on my end. Heady/SOS are around $3.75 per can so I figured it was close to 2:1. Looks like I should have been closer to 4:3 or 3:2.

    3 bad trader threads. I'm not sure that's a record, but it's very, very bad, especially with 2 people still out their beer & no resolution in sight.

    I don't see shipping first as satisfactory resolution. While that beats losing the beer, it's a crappy way to trade. I don't want to wait weeks, maybe months, finding out whether or not my beer will arrive or whether I need to set it up with someone else.

    He's trading Pliny, which has a notoriously abbreviated shelf life. Is life getting hectic before or after he buys the beer? It appears he can't be trusted to ship at all. Why would anyone trust him to ship fresh beer?

    Did anyone initiate a formal trade request with this guy? I don't always remember to check for bad trader threads. This guy still has 100% feedback. Can someone please leave him negative feedback before he takes advantage of someone else.

    @Todd can we at least suspend the trading priveleges of @Sergeh until he responds to these threads? He hasn't logged in since May 4th.

    Also, @Sean9689 @DanielMaychack @murduck88 please BM me. I have some additonal questions...

    ^^^This. After looking at his feedback @Sergeh. I really wish people would actually use the feedback system how its suppose to be used. Instead, people who have been given the runaround, "delayed" communication, no communication, etc. get bought off with "extras" and overnight shipping. How the heck are these trades a positive experience???

    I am curious how people would react to more critical feedback and if that would lead to retaliatory comments/ratings. In this case, if I give Sergeh a poor rating he could come back and do the same thing for me...even though I delivered as promised. I'm sure the mods don't want to be policing this. Seems like they would be put in a spot where they have to settle disagreements...which I'm sure they don't want to do. In my case, as long as someone delivers their side of it and it comes within a reasonable time frame, I'm ok with it. Sergeh is beyond that and it isn't ok.

    If he does leave you bad retaliatory feedback report it. He will be banned and it will be deleted. so don't worry about that

    I have my trade request pending, so I can leave him negative feedback...was just hoping he'd come around. It seems he might be in too deep with pending trades to recover now...bummer.
