Brandy Barrel aged BEERS

    I am new to the craft beer scene but with that being said to my taste the bourbon barrel aged is overdone and Brandy Barrel aged beer is not done enough.

    North Coast Old Stock Cellars Reserve 2011 is the best beer I've drank and was the beer that start this craze for me. Bruery Bois in Brandy Barrels was the best Bruery beer I've had. This weekend Bravery The Shroud in Brandy Barrels wow wow fantastic.

    So, I am wondering what other brandy barrel or cognac barrel aged beers are out there I can try please do tell.

    This was pretty damn tasty but not sure if you could get your hands on it.

    AleSmith Brandy Barrel Aged Old Numbskull is great, so is Billionaire by Clown Shoes.

    You'll probably have to trade to find a bottle, but what immediately came to my mind was A Deal with The Devil from Anchorage. Aged in cognac barrels. It was absolutely amazing when I had it.

    Some lesser known breweries with outstanding brandy beers:
    Martin city brandy tripel, mr vacation barleywine, and big boy stout
    Anthem brandy uroboros Belgium stout

    Also:
    Prairie AB Noir
    Smuttlabs AB stout

    But yes, north coast 2011 crellar reserve may be the best. One of my all time favs

    Brandy old stock is definitely one of my favorite beers. Apple Brandy Noir is still drinking great too. AKA Caramel Apple Stout.

    Repose is the only that I can think of at the moment, but there must've been some others... oh, I guess I've had Apple Brandy Noir.

    Had Prarie and Eclipse, both were good but IMO the Brandy influence is really understated, a bit too much so. Worth a try obviously, but a more pungent Bourbon doesn't tend to get lost in the base.

    Not as many brandy barrel beers because brandy barrels are really expensive
