Had this last night and was impressed with the changes! A much tastier beer with a better balance of both salt and coriander. Very thankful to have another refreshing Gose around during this summer heat!

So what are your thoughts? Do you like the changes? What's the biggest differences to you between the OG Jammer and 2.0?

I'm looking forward to trying the new version. What about the tart/sour aspect? Any increase on that front?

It's definitely better than the previous iteration. A bit more salt, but not grossly so, and more emphasis on the confluence of tart and wheat. Personally I think it's a big improvement from the last one, which in retrospect I was way too excited about just because I want more, approachable goses in cans at a good price.

It is still tame and I would not describe it as sour (tart yes)....but then again, as Draft Magazine so kindly reminded us this week, the US has gotten blinded by sourness and that lumping so many styles together and collective calling them "sours" is charging our expectations with silly shit. It's like go eat a Warhead if you need to challenged by sourness.

2.0 is a really nice beer and one I would happy fit into my summer routines. Great for on the go and tastes real nice straight from the can...which is huge plus for me. Also, it tastes like no other Gose on the market, so expect that. Good stuff. I think the can imagery suits the flavor perfectly.

That's great. I didn't want it to be Westbrook-level sour, so just an incremental increase was exactly what I was hoping for. Sort of an emulation of the traditional german balance. I have a good feeling about 2.0

@Sixpoint What changes are on the can to let us know it is Jammer 2.0?

So is there any way to tell whether it's 2.0 without opening the packaging and checking the bottom of the can?

The dude who runs my neighborhood packy doesn't take kindly to people tearing open closed packs.

On the side on the cardboard box in black ink it lists: BB18DEC2015.

Absolutely zero need to open the package.

    Cheers!

My first Sixpoint Jammer 2.0 (best by date of 18 Dec. 2015). I did not have the previous version of Jammer so this is my first taste of this beer. I even drank it from my Jammer can shaped glass. How cool is that!?!

I have had a few Gose beers from German brewed versions like Ritterguts Gose, , Bayerisch Bahnhof Leipziger Gose to US craft brewed versions like Anderson Valley Gose, Victory Gose, Victory Kirsch Gose, etc.

The first thing I pick up on the nose is some citrus (lemony) aromas. For my palate what I am picking up in this beer is a tiny bit of breadiness from the grains, nothing in the way of hops, some pleasant, mild tartness (it is not puckering sour), a nice saltiness and just a touch of citrus from the coriander. This beer has exactly the proper sort of balance that I personally look for in a Gose; beers that are puckering sour are not pleasing for my palate.

Cheers to the Sixpoint (@Sixpoint) folks for a wonderful beer!!

Hey bro! Long time! I had similar things to say about this and have been told personally by the @Sixpoint folks that they have been actively improving this recipe. I'm up
for trying it come spring. I am looking forward to tasting the new batch as well as the other brews they throw our way.

I really hate to be that guy, but while 2.0 was a major improvement and was quite enjoyable, imo it could stand to be a little bit more tart.

Definitely need to give this one a try. Didn't have OG version last year, so looking forward to this one.
