    Finished crushing the grain, this seems like a good choice to drink while picking hops. Wet hopped beers are so good.

    Just curious, what variety of hops are you picking?

    My Cascade hops are very big and ready to pick, and seems early! Only my second year growing them....once I return from a trip to Chicago, will be brewing up something in the "wet / harvest" mode!

    Good morning, BAs! I took yesterday off while physically recovering from a very exhausting four day stretch, culminating in a badass concert Sunday night. Many beers were consumed, including a couple Yuengling Black & Tans on draught at the show.

    Three songs into Slipknot's set, they stopped the show and sent their bass guitarist to the hospital. That was messed up, but they came back out and finished the set without a bass player. Yesterday the news came out that he was treated for dehydration, so he's fine, thankfully; it was a tense moment, but the crowd was badass, the bands were awesome (my neck still hurts like hell after Lamb of God), and the beer was....OK. :wink:

    Sierra Nevada Ovila Tripel

    I wasn't very impressed with this the first time around. However, I love Sierra Nevada, and I love tripels....and, well, I also had an extra bottle, so I'm giving this another go.

    Two sips in, and I am definitely liking it more than the first go round. I'll have to see if it's worth updating my BA rating on it, especially as it warms.

    Beachwood Brewing Thrillseeker IPA. Bottled on 7/27/15. Clean, bright, and intensely bitter. Borderline mind-blowing.

    Always loved the Lynryd Skynryd original version but this cover is right up there.

    Just back from a fabulous trip to the western lake region of Maine. Enjoying this perfect post-run shower beer from Bissell Brothers--babies are geniuses! I made the trek to Portland just pick some up. My only regret is that I didn't have a suitcase big enough to bring back much more. Cheers to the great state of Maine!

    A day late, but in honor of Fritz Maytag taking over the Anchor Brewery. Anchor Steam Beer, to wash down a Maytag Blue Cheese burger. Wow the mans cheese is just about as good as his beer.

    Love that area of Maine! I have relatives up there, and need to visit more often......have heard good things about that one in particular! Did you get to MT Katahdin and the AT?
