Passionfruit Beer Help

    I'm a huge passionfruit lover and an big fanboy of Wakefield's DFPF. With that said, I'm looking for some help in tracking down other worthy passionfruit beers to trade for. Sours are my favorite but would also venture out to any other styles.

    Would greatly appreciate robust descriptions (both for recommended or ones to stay away from)

    Last but not least, it's hard to gauge ratings sometimes as I've seen many type "that was an amazing beer" and give it a mediocre rating and others shitting on it and adding they really don't like that style (I really hate seeing those douche bags rate).

    Pipeworks Makes a really good Passionfruit Imperial Stout called Passionfruit Abduction. You would have to trade for it but it shouldnt be hard to get next time it comes out.

    I'm terrible at describing beers but Breakside's Passionfruit Sour Ale is really solid and it should be easy to trade for. Only costs about $7 if I remember correctly and there is plenty on the shelves around Portland.

    I'm a big fan of Passionfruit, but I don't think it belongs in a stout. That was one of Pdubs worst beers imo.

    Avery's witbier Liliko'i Kepolo should be an easy one to track down and nice and cheap too -- $3/can or so.

    Its not my favorite Abduction but im in the small minority that actually liked it. Its different and interesting but certinaly far from traditional stout flavors. For the record Chi Dog is their worst brew imo lol.

    4 Hands Passion Fruit Prussia is pretty solid. It's nothing mind blowing but I enjoy it.

    Was going to mention that one myself, it's very tasty. I brought home a bottle from Portland last summer, had another from a friend in Idaho, and now we get Breakside distro in Colorado.

    I'd also recommend Crooked Stave's Petite Sour Passion Fruit, OP.

    Pipeworks Spotted Puffer Passion Fruit IIPA is amazing. Currently not on shelves but will come again in the future.

    Second the breakside Passionfruit. It is pretty damn awesome.

    And you can generally get it at online retailers like bringonthebeer.com

    de Garde's Passion Fruit Bu is incredible. Might be tough to snag one but worth seeking out.

    Damn!!!!

    What a great surprise it was for me to find all this feedback after morning meetings which really should have been emails!

    I just recently had the Breakside and agree it was very good. I know taste is so subjective but would have liked more passionfruit presence.

    If more want to give feedback, I would continue to be grateful.

    As for being grateful, I'll count the number of replies and do a random number generator to pick that # reply to send a Last Snow as thanks for helping. I'll cut off Sunday morning when I get up.
