Seeing a lot more ISOs for Apricot Fruit Stand. I guess the word is finally out on that one.

That's a bummer! I hope you had other things planned in the area for the weekend? We've driven down from SLC four times now, which is a little over 6 hours each way. Each time the line gets longer and we have to show up earlier and earlier (we do stay in the area the night before to alleviate some driving). This past release was a bit insane. I was hoping I could show up at 6:30 a.m. and not have to worry but when we arrived, it looked like a giant cluster of people everywhere. Makes sense if people are sleeping in their cars, I suppose. I thought they'd run out of tickets right before us, but fortunately we got some and Troy had a few more to spare. Not really enjoying that part of the process, it was much better when it was a low-key affair. And not cool if people are using chairs to save multiples spots in line/cutting in line last minute. But that's the world of beer, the word is out and demand will continue to exceed supply. Either way, Troy is a great guy and does the absolute best he can to run events smoothly. He also listens to feedback (I've noticed this on the Casey Facebook page)! And he's got a beautiful space, so it's fun once the line part is over and you can just hang out and drink the beer.

At least for October, no one (including Troy) will have to worry about chair placeholders. I missed allocation by 15 min, and I was staying in town. Therefore, at 4am, I will be collecting any empty chairs in my vehicle to bring home for a fall garage sale while my wife holds our places (2, not 7 or 8) in line. Problem solved, and thank you in advance if you choose to contribute to my Casey beer fund with your chair!

I know that system sucks, but would you prefer people to sleep in there sleeping bags in there personal chairs to hold there place in line. I don't agree with one guy/girl getting there early and holding the place of
    10. But if I get there early and place a chair and try to sleep in my car am I bad person? Tell me a better a system. He has a limited amount of beer and people will line up early regardless. What is a fair aproach to the line system??

I think I have been pretty clear what IS fair, not what I THINK is fair. I think the piling "likes" above indicate I speak for the majority. The system doesn't suck at all. Entitled people suck, like usual. I don't care from however far away one drives...if a person is not in line, too bad. I didn't arrive 15 min late after paying for a place right in town, and just because I know Troy personally EXPECT beer. I missed out, and that is that. Disappointed? Sure. Entitled? No way.

I'll put it this way, there is no place holding in line (except a spouse). If one is there, and asks their neighbor for a potty break such as @Domingo suggests, no one will care. An ass is a spot, not a chair. Those that know me know I am not shy. Anyone who wants is welcome to show up late and test my resolve (likely backed by the rest there in person once the others actually waiting are empowered by my willingness to speak up).

I'm not trying to start trouble before anything happens. Waiting in line is a PERSON waiting. No judgement on anyone's character. I don't care where folks sleep, but if one is not personally in line once I arrive, they will be in line BEHIND me. Pretty simple. Waiting in line is not a sleep comfort proposition.

Well, seems like things are heating up a bit in here (justifiably so from what I hear about September's release) but I'll go ahead and just drop the news that most of you have already seen I assume...

"Apricot Cut will not be released this month. Just like Jack Bauer, it needs more time."

I know Troy also said Bing Cherry Cut isn't ready either - it won't be poured at Rare Beer as originally planned - so maybe October won't be as crazy.

I've been dreaming of the apricot cut. The fs was my favorite thus far. Can't imagine how juicy the cut version will be.

Assuming it develops as planned, that pushes that release into early ski season. Could be interesting.
October might be a relaxed event with no crazy fruits.

I talked to Troy yesterday and he said no Apricot or Bing Cut but possibly Balaton Cut. He did say they're all gonna be fruit beers again.

Are these beers really so good that it's worth the long drive and waiting in line for hours and hours? Just curious. I should be able to try one pretty soon actually.

If you've actually read through this thread I think you'd find that the overwhelming consensus is that they are, hence why we all do it damn near every month and the demand for Casey beers is so high.

I was in Ouray this weekend and on the way back I swung by GWS and dropped a lawn chair at Casey right next to the garage door. I chained it to some super legit stakes so that it will be too much trouble for Troy to move it.

So basically, just so you guys know, I'm pretty sure this means I'm first in line for every release now and trading everything so hit me up ISO side project and loons brah!!!! Also I haven't showered in two weeks.

I am going to try and make it to the Casey B&B event in Denver on Saturday at 3PM. I am guessing it will be a popular event! It would be amazing to get to taste these beers (for free!) and buy some too.

Grabbed a bottle of the East Bank at Mr. B's earlier, going to be my intro to Casey. Looking forward to it.
