Not that it would be a big deal for some but I just got a case of the stuff for 39 bucks out the door. Distributor was like "Is this a new beer I never seen it before" Told him I had it before years ago and remember liking it.

Really cool how Victory is becoming more popular with new beers all the time.
Regularly drink their stuff and was glad to see a Weizenbock other than Dirtwolf or just more IPA's.
Not that I hate golden monkey but I like drinking the dark stuff!

Just want to say exceptional high gravity brew at at a very respectable price. Keep it up guys!

Nice ! Unfortunately I have never seen Moonglow in bottles still to this day. I did however see it on tap a couple of years ago but chose HopSlam instead. Still wanting . . .

Great beer! One of the best American Weizenbocks and IMO the best beer from Victory. Used to be in 6-pack, but since last year it's in 4-packs. However for $8-9, it's a great deal.

I get fairly upset when I see people mentioning how they regularly drink Dirtwolf. It's a terrific beer when fresh. And it's a shame that it's seemingly impossible to find fresh Victory ~100 miles from the brewery in Jersey. Couldn't tell you the last time I bought anything Victory for this reason. Absolutely love their beer though.

Fantastic beer, and it's especially fitting for the season. Very glad to see it in bottles again! My first purchase is gone, but I will be heading back for more for sure.

Agree with you all I only chilled it for 4 hour but it had an excellent toffee caramel character with a bit of spiced raisin bread yeast. Will be enjoying the case and may go back for a second!

Like I said I am no fanboy to dirtwolf it is good but I love the malty sweet stuff more.

As for fresh I just got Dirtwolf blown out of my mind with Boulevard The Calling IPA

My god was it a crisp fresh DIPA!

funny you mention it, last week I ordered 10 cases to make a display for my store and it's been selling like crazy. Have always loved this beer, and Victory in general.

I actually saw a case of Kirsch Cherry Gose at Shangy's and had contemplated buying it, but it was sitting in their window, in the direct sunlight since launch, so I didn't want to waste my money.

But yeah, Victory keeps upping the ante, and they always have my business.

Moon Glow is my favorite weizenbock. I caught a shitload of flack on this forum for saying it was one of the best in the world. My feelings have not changed.

I described it as a 'nimbler Aventinus' the other day and caught no flack, so maybe people are coming around .

Either way, more people should know it's out there and be giving it a shot. I may not be buying cases of it like the op, but it will be seriously cutting into my O'fest purchases this year (and that says a lot ).

Agreed - and to be honest, one 4-pack gives me my fill, as weizenbocks are not something I would ever stock up on. But when I do have one, I nurse it like a soft tit.

My bottle shop keeps Moon Glow stocked regularly in 12oz. bottles.

Love the beer like the old label better. I remember it being a higher ABV 10 years or longer back. I remember an 11%+ version in bottles. Could be wrong. I passed a case at $40 the other day. It was the only one. I would love to see Otto again and Hop Wallop

    Enjoy
