See, I WAS there! This was at Hütt'n in Nürnberg, Bratwurst Gulasch mit Knödeln and a Rittmayer Smoky George. Fan-fuckin'-tastic!

Dave, I just gotta ask. What beer was served to you in a Teku glass (or as @Gutes_Bier sometimes calls it: fancy pants glass). Are Teku glasses common in German bars/restaurants?

    Cheers!

It's a "new" M-43.... new for me, but still an original.... my older one is showing more wear and tear....

Tekus are getting popular all over germany with the craft beer boom-you'll see them in every restaurant and bar that offers some craft-ish stuff. Though some brewers (Craftwerk,Maisel's and Friends,Köstritzer Meisterwerke..) have kind of their own Teku-Ish glass. It seems out of place to me sometimes, like when you are at a franconian Wirtshaus with very rustic fare and decor and the usual half litre steins, and than the Tekus seem really alien:wink:

I personally love Tekus for light white wines, but for beers-I dunno. I know it is designed to be ideal for all beerstyles, but for foamy belgian style ales, I think there is not enough room for a nice head. I stile prefer a trappist chalice or goblet in most cases.

I completely agree with you I got a Schneider Weiss one and thought I would love it as I use a similar style glass for all my Mosel Rieslings. For my Helles and Dunkles I use a normal stein and for my Belgium Ales I seem to only use my De Struise glass.

Seems like you used a Chimay glass at some point.
