This. Every single time I've ever been there. I called and asked them about BCBS last year. The employees initial reply was "We don't sell bourbon here. You have to go to the liquor store."

 

Nah, we won't see it on Black Friday...likely later...and not sure what "variants" there are this year, but if (big if) we are to get any of those, they will likely come after the initial wave of regular... and possibly in installments based on ambiguous/arbitrary conditional release from the wholesaler...or maybe even some other weird scenario that I couldn't possibly imagine...

BTW they're doing BCBS, BCBBW, Regal Rye, Prop and Rare this year. We obviously won't see Prop or Rare. I think Randy is gonna blow it out the box and come up with the first three, but I'm sure he will reveal all to us when the time is right.

Then, the line can truly start forming. I've got a hobo down on the corner by his store holding a spot for me as we speak.

 

BCBCS as well. Can't forget about the coffee.

The chances of us seeing anything other than BCBS is pretty much nil. Hell, the chances of any of us actually getting our hands on BCBS is pretty slim in itself.

Although if I see it, I'll buy it, that's for sure...

 

I am never here for Black Friday, but I can say that in Buffalo every expected place got the regular (lots), barleywine (a good amount) and a small amount of coffee last year. I believe Vanilla came later in minuscule quantities (and draft). I find their distributors to be way more on top of quick deliveries and freshness, so I highly doubt ours will get their act together. I routinely see common releases there weeks before they show up here.

I recall bars/bottle shops announcing their "case" in events from December through February last year in Pittsburgh.

 

Yeah, adding on to what Greg said, Bourbon County was all over the map here in Pittsburgh last year. Random cases and kegs were popping up months after the initial Black Friday release. It sucks not being able to pinpoint an exact release date like seemingly every other city in the country is able to, as the random releases basically means you have to be in the right place at the right time or you're going to miss out (at least when it comes to bottles).

If anyone here stumbles upon a case and was looking to split it up, I would be down for throwing down on a 4 pack. I'll keep an eye out on my end.

 

Don't think that's going to be the case this year, but we'll see. Not saying I think it's going to be abundant or anything, but I think we'll see a little more than we have in years past.

 

Already seeing posts on FB groups of people raffling bottles/cases of 2015 BCBS with pictures of it sitting in their living room, vehicle etc.

 

I distinctly remember Ho1KB having both BCBS and the barleywine on tap last black Friday. I believe they raffled off regular BCBS bottles too.

 

Yeah I saw that too. I saw a guy on Reddit saying the store he manages in Montana just got a ton of regular and he doesn't know how to handle letting people know about it. Whatever that means..

 

Umm how about posting that it will be available for sale on Black Friday like they are supposed to. Stores or places that are letting it go early, like the pictures we're seeing on Facebook should lose their right to get any in future years

 

Exactly. They make up signs for the release date every year and there is always some dildo's that jump that date.

Let's start drumming up a plan for a December bottle share. I know things get really busy for everybody in December but we should at least try to pick a date.

Buddy was able to snag a Hawaiian Speedway for me so hopefully I can get it from him before the next share.

 

Definitely in for this one. Let's please not have it on a Sunday. Mondays are hard enough guys.

 

Just an idea, but what about Thursday the 17th. No matter what weekends get rough in December. I kind of liked the Sunday share, but that is just my opinion.

 

I'm pretty well wide open in December so if you drink them, I will come.

 

The closer we get to xmas the less likely I will be attending. I am hosting xmas at my house this year, so I will have a lot of prep work to do. I am down for a share in Dec though. I liked the brunch idea as I stated in the convo. Either way though I always try and make these.

 

BCBS will be here for Black Friday this year. I'm supposed to get more details from the wholesaler tomorrow.
