    Should we start a new thread to stay on topic? Or is this what we want/love/expect in a thread? Don't want to ruffle feathers...just can't get to the last page of forums on my mobile too easily so have to sift through a lot :stuck_out_tongue:

    Got the chance to try the Regal Rye, Vanilla, '13 Barleywine and '13 stout at the Congregation tap takeover in Long Beach. I sort of get the hype...sort of.

    Went to Congregation LB had the Regal, Brand, and Vanilla. The Vanilla IMO was the best option. Brand was tastier than I had previously noted on the 13 and 14. The Regal just didn't do it for me, I am gladly passing up this year and heading out to Firestone.

    They are both made with intelligentsia. And 2015 is actually very close to 2013 since they used coffee from the same region, unlike the 2014.

    Stay away from Johnny's Liquor in Covina. 43 bucks for 2 bottles of regular. All these old liquor stores trying to get in the cash grab that is craft beer. FOH. I'd rather do my beer shopping at chains now.

    Berkeley-area WF coming in at $10, 12 and 20 for regular, coffee and regal rye respectively, one each per, starting tomorrow (one WF jumped the gun already, hence these price points). No word on BW availability.

    Thanks for the heads up! Any intel on any of the other spots in the area? I know that at least one of the Nugget markets put it out early. Not sure on the others though.

    They posted on instagram yesterday that they were selling it last night. Called them up and the guy said 20 bucks for a bottle. Never been there before and I don't plan on going there in the future.

    Would much rather deal with duck duck gueze era nexternal than the randomness of trying to find a store with Rare or Regal which isn't marked up 2x tomorrow.
