Selling Griffon is hilarious after all previous statements associated with that beer.

Typically the last days of the sale are the previous 12 days of Xmas named beers.

I was surprised to see it at the Terreux event. I wonder if they forgot about a few cases and realized it was about time to set them free

    Hi all,

I can lend some insight regarding Griffon Bruxellois... When we put the beer up for sale, we didn't have enough to guarantee all members access to a bottle. So, we sent out that disclaimer warning members that there was a possibility that our supply couldn't meet demand. While we saw a relatively high buy rate, not every member who had access to the beer ended up purchasing a bottle and we were left with a very small surplus that we held in our archives. The beer is tasting great now, but might not be the best candidate for more years of aging, so we decided to deplete the stock entirely this year. So a handful of cases went to the Terreux Vue event and the remaining cases were put on this 12DoX sale.

    Cheers,
    Matt O.

I thought it did sell out when originally put out there.

Follow the discussion at least a page and it shows that it was taken off the site/sold out.

That's the reason I found it odd that it was pouring at the sour tour, let alone being tossed up to the 12days sale. Though, that's just a bit of personal salt in the wounds since I had tickets to the Terreux event but car issues put a stop to that, as well as being one of those 2012 RS members who didn't reup for 2013 taking a year off and missing the sale as it spent time carbing up.

I mean, oh well, just seemed odd and at this point it's one of those white mini-dog whales in being so close, yet so far from getting a bottle.

I'm genuinely bummed they went with labeling for Terreux that doesn't peel off nice and easy like the regular Bruery labels do.

The new Terreux labels come off nice, if you soak them in hot water for a little bit first, but they are more of a pain then the old labels

Is it just me or do the Terreux labels not appear crisp? Like a film or haze is over them (probably bad wording).

Damn, the one day I was far away from the internets. I absolutely wanted more Blue BBLs and would have loved another Griffon Brux.

In my experience, it holds up reasonably well - certainly better than Mocha Wednesday and Grey Monday - but doesn't improve in any way.

    Your mileage may vary.

Anyone else wondering when the 2016 membership cards and welcome pack will come in the mail?

I have found that the adjuncts fall out after a year or so. Have had vintage CR next to the same vintage BT and haven't been able to distinguish much difference.

Thanks for sharing. I've always thought an aged bottle of Chocolate Rain would eventually gets closer to Black Tuesday the longer it sat. I've always tried to drink beers with coconut and/or vanilla before 6 months to get the most of those ingredients. Wasn't sure how long until the cocoa started to fade.
