Used to think GF sculpin was the shit til I tried victory at sea and imperial porters instantly became my new favorite style of beer.

Ring-a-ring-a-ling. Some of these flavors remind me of being a kid when the ice cream truck made its way through the neighborhood. Hmmmmmm? I feel so much younger just thinking about it.

Can't stand how snobby people are lol. BP makes amazing beers. Just because they're expanding to new flavors doesn't mean they're losing quality. Also, NOBODY IS MAKING YOU TRY THEM. Personally I can't wait to try all of these especially the Pineapple Sculpin and the Watermelon Dorado.

Well soul style was not good either.

I really like even keel so the mango sounds interesting.

    Enjoy

EK is $40 a case here. Pretty much inline with other sessions. Less than stone. A few bucks more than Lagunitas, one of my favorite sessions.

    Enjoy

Daytime is $9.99 here, Even Keel is $11.99. I like Daytime more so thats a big difference for me.

All things considered, it does seem like it getting somewhat excessive. I really don't need 5+ variations of every beer.

That Ballast Point is becoming the Mike's Hard Lemonade of craft beer? I love Ballast Point, but their insane ramp-up of flavored beers is starting to turn me off to almost all flavored beers. :slight_frown:

Basically how i feel too. Im a big ballast point fan, I just wish they put the same amount of effort into coming up with new and creative beers as they did to flavoring ones they already have

Well, since they are now owned by someone else looking to make even more money these flavors seem to be a quick easy way to do that. I guess they saw how GF sculpin did and said more flavors. Vodka and other hard alcohols are doing this and seem to be doing well so it feels like BP will become a flavor factory.

I bought a case of VAS the other week and its still good. I hope all the other beers stay good too. Maybe the volume can bring down the price. I remember when Sculpin was over $65 a case and now it's $50. If BP can get into the $40 range I would buy more than Even Keel and VAS

    Enjoy

ballast point has been out of fucks to give for a while now. when sculpin first became widely available here it was 22 goddamn dollars for a 6pack. they know they have what it takes to make truly great beer, and with every one of those great, popular beers they throw out several mediocre ones and charge the same price for all of them. grapefruit sculpin sold out like nothing, literally nothing, i have ever seen here for months last year. pineapple sculpin will probably be amazing, and greatly outdo other half-assed attempts at pineapple beer like 5 golden rings etc. mango even keel will give people like me a reason to actually buy even keel, even if its just once. i would never buy creamsicle fathom or thai chili wahoo, just as i would never buy the base beers themselves. i'm telling myself i know that watermelon dorado isn't going to be good but we'll see how i feel when i see it on a shelf. i'm not going to sit here and say BP doesn't care about their customers, but when you have a legitimately great brewery who also has no problems "selling out" literally and figuratively, you get trendy beer releases and high prices.

If you had a beer release thread that was the polar opposite of the Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest collaboration with Mahr's thread....this would be it.

And I actually really dig Even Keel.
