Bad Trader: @405beerguy

    On 01/05/16 @405beerguy posted a trade looking for Zombie Dust in exchange for a Bruery White Chocolate. The next day we agreed to the trade and exchanged information. The trade was 12 Zombie Dust for 1 White Chocolate. We agreed to ship on 01/11/16. I shipped the ZD with some bomber extras on that day and provided the tracking info. I received a reply saying - "I had a crazy busy day. Will get your box out in the am. I ship through work so you'll get it 2nd day delivery". I messaged on 01/15/16 asking for any updates. No reply. I asked again on 01/20/16 and was given this reply - "Sorry for the late reply. Box came back with breakage will be s bring it back out in the am with some extra extras to make up for time lost". I've sent a couple follow ups with no replies. I hate to report someone as a bad trader but it has been almost 6 weeks.. We did follow trade protocol and still have an open trade since 01/06/16.

    OP, sorry to hear about this. Obviously hindsight is 20/20 but given that he only had 3 trades at the time you made your trade you should have probably required him to ship first.

    I don't feel good about this one. Looking at this guy's instagram (proudly posted the ZD bottles btw) I have a hunch it's the same guy from the following bad trader threads:

    Yeah I believe that's him. The name I shipped to was Serge H. Good to see my bottles on Instagram all made it in one piece. :slight_smile:

    Sounds like this guy's details need to be posted (presumably by a mod), to hopefully help head off another reoccurrence.

    I found a relative on Facebook and sent her a message that was not returned. I have not tried any other way to contact him. I don't have any other contact info besides his name and address. I see there's an email account associated with his Instagram page. I'll try that.

    It looks like he works at whole foods on 5th and Wilshire, you could try calling them.

    This guys a repeat offender, posting pictures on Instagram, I wouldn't hesitate to do this...

    How was he able to get back with another account? Usually, isn't there something that catches that and immediately bans the new account? Just going by others threads I've read where mods said the person tried creating a new account and was banned again.

    Judging from the join date he had duplicate accounts before his one was banned/ the other bad trader threads were created.

    I can confirm that this trader is the same as sergeh. His Instagram has the beers that I sent him last year.

    Ah, my apologies. I would say because on that same instagram account his name and email handle are too coincidentally linked to his old account here, name-wise, sergeh. Plus, someone mentioned above that beer he traded to him was posted on that account.

    Thanks, I didn't check the join dates. I was thinking he got banned before and made this one more recent. I see the join date is older now.
