Hi, I am going to be visiting Chicago in the summer and I really want to try to get some stuff that I can't get in Ohio. Anyone have a recommendation of a good beer store/bottle shop? We are staying right near Millennium Park.

I'm not a Chicagoan but does anything really beat Binnys?

Yes. Go to Beer Temple. Fischman's, Capone's, Vas Foremost are also great.

Binny's Lincoln Park is hard to beat from a selection standpoint.

I think this sums it up pretty well. You won't find a place with a better selection than Binny's LP, but you will find places with more of a personal touch, where you can discuss beer with fellow enthusiasts more easily, if you want. Also, I can't speak for every place here, but Beer Temple is almost pathological in how strict they are about monitoring/dating fresh beer.

If you want fresh beer avoiding Binnys isn't a bad idea. The small craft stores are more concerned about freshness. Beer Temple in particular

Bottles and Cans is my go to beer store in my neighborhood. It's not very close to Millenium Park, but if you head out this way it's right down the street from Half Acre and around the corner from Begyle. Bad Apple which is a restaurant with a good beer selection is nearby as well.
