New style = NOVA IPA....who cares. I guess it continues to give everyone something to talk about.
But seriously Orange Starfish > Focal Banger > Alter Ego > Julius > anything bluejacket....am I right?

$14 is a bit more than any brewery I've been to, for DIPA/IPA anyway.

I don't really get the desire for the hazy/turbid beers, they look terrible.

This is on par with how Other Half growler prices, but real estate is much pricier in Brooklyn than Herndon.

I don't know what Aslin's plans are, but when Ocelot opened, their growler prices were expensive to discourage people from buying them, so they could ensure they had beer on tap. Once they started in increase production, they dropped their growler prices.

Aslin has already raised their prices from when they opened. Doubt it will go down anytime soon. Until then, custy up everyone.

Ocelots growlers tend to be $1-$2 more than fills at shops. I don't know how Total Wine Alexandria is doing this and making any money, but they do $9.99 fills for 64oz of Ocelot beers sometimes. That place takes FOREVER to fill growlers, but it's an amazing deal.

That's crazy pricey. I was thinking it was $14 for three of them.

I seem to remember paying about half of that for a crowler of Crank IPA when I was down in St Petersburg. And Crank is better than both the IPA's I've had from Aslin.

@Franch. I'd get behind that statement though I've only had the Alter Ego. It's very good and very well balanced. However, it wasn't as Juicy IMO as Orange Starfish. Orange Starfish > Alter Ego for my personal tastes.

I would rate the ones I've had

Bringing Sexy Back > Orange Starfish > Stellar Parallax > Small Town

Where does heady or Pliny fit in?

Pliny fits in somewhere around where the best episodes of Cheers fit in with the best episodes of Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Will all crowler fills be $14? Can't imagine I'd buy many if it's a 6% IPA for that price.

I'm told that the first offering in the Manor Hill Hidden Hopyard series is going to be quite hazy/NE-style.

Galaxy, Enigma, and Topaz for brewing and double dry-hopping.

Hopefully IPAs will be a bit less than the DIPAs but I wouldn't expect them to be less than $12.
