It's time for another crowd sourced Averagely Perfect project. This one will build a Pale Ale or IPA of the NorthEast variety. See -> this <- thread for lots of previous discussion on this style. But basically, we're talking about a hoppy, juicy, hazy beer, with good mouthfeel.

This pre-poll will determine whether the project will build a NE Pale Ale (NEPA) or a NE IPA (NEIPA). I'm arbitrarily defining a NEPA as having an ABV of 4.0% to 6.2% and a NEIPA as having an ABV of 5.5% to 7.5%. There may or may not be other important differences...that will depend on how the recipe develops, as the NorthEast thing is fairly new-ish and not really rigidly defined.

This poll will be open for 48 hours.

    Awesome Vike!!!

I voted for the PA.... I brew a lot of these beers and think the lower alcohol version will really open up people's eyes as too how advantageous this style is to mouthfeel in particular.

But if it goes IPA....I guess that will work also!!

    Cheers.

Glad you're moderating another one. I chose IPA, but PA would be fine too.

I doubt I will have much to add to this beer, but I will definitely brew it when it is done. Thanks for doing this again.

I voted for PA, ideally right around 5% so I can drink 6 or 7 at a time

Clearly you are disappointed. Because you were forced to choose between only two styles, I will ignore your coerced vote.

As I'm more of a smallish beer drinker, I'm going with the pale-ale selection. My one version I have brewed I called a session IPA; it clocked in at 5.4% (which is close to the sweet spot for most of my beers). Cheers!

P.S. I glad to see another one of these averagely perfect projects underway!

Your inability to accept valid criticism isn't a good reason for me to abstain.

Abstain or not. I will ignore your votes. In fact, it's time you went on general ignore.

Edit: That felt good. See ya troll.

Further proving points #1 and #2 and juvenile name calling as a parting gift.

    Alrighty then. :astonished:

While I'm not a fan of this style wrinkle, and won't Poisson (spelling intentional) this poll, I like the cut of your jib for calling out the bearded, isopropanol plate chiller cleaning, troll
