Bruery 2017 RS/HS Allocations

Yes. Klean Kanteens are what TheRareBarrel used this past year. I honestly don't think I own a better growler than this. Used it a lot and shipped with it back and forth between southern and northern CA.

 

As has been said, it is a great growler. I have the rare barrel one and I used it as my go to water bottle or for fills at places that allow it. The only issue I have is that I do not think it hold temperature as well as hydro flask or MIR growlers, but is still very good. The Klean Kanteens are much easier to open and close compared to the others, which I like. I would buy one if I didn't already have 2 other 32 oz growlers from the bruery.

Hoping they have the new line up in the tasting room since not everyone made it into the party...especially with the shortened time to buy allocations.

 

This is just personal preference, but the growler looks a lot better in matte black (TheRareBarrel version) than the "copper" color. But if it's a good growler, I might have to snag one. Thanks for the insight!!

 

Would totally agree with the power version you are talking about. I must admit I wish these were still tagged with the society level, but hey if it's easier to use than last years I should be OK. the 2016 growler just loved to brawl with me when I went to open it. I swear the few times I got it right I was all proud of myself....

 

You are not alone! The hinged cover on the 2016 growler is not very convenient. Every time I try to open or close it I feel like I am solving one of those puzzles where you need to link/separate metal rings. I finally turned it into my daily water container and just removed the top (still keeps it cold enough for ice cubes to last overnight even without the lid).

 

I second this! No, I didn't max out on everything nor spend an insane amount of money (sure my wife would disagree).

However, I was very present at The Bruery and Terreux. I treat the staff with respect, tip them well, and visit often. That's the only advice I could offer.

 

RS noob question - do RS members get access to purchase just about all of the beers that come in the PS packages? If I had the option, I'd rather just buy the few beers that I actually want out of the PS package a la carte then pay for the membership and get all of the quarterly packages. Wanted to ask before my PS membership re-ups.

 

Of course, RS gets anything PS has access to, and HS gets anything RS has access to.

 

If you're only coming 7-10 times a year...I don't know if I'd try to talk you into it. Having said this, there are always lots of options for growler fills, some only for society members. And many of these will never be bottled.

 

I'm in a similar situation. Hoarder member here. The announcement was practically buried at the bottom of the email, and I didn't notice the "first come, first served" warning. So I'm out. But i'm particularly bummed cuz I'm sharing my membership with a buddy who is looking forward to fully participate in Bruery events. We're both local, and I really wanted him to get to this event. So if anybody has an extra ticket, hit me up.

 

I'm happy to see there are some many people psyched to go to this party. Hopefully I'll see y'all at the Anniversary Party!

 

Here's my $0.02 on this... I'm moving to San Jose in a few months, and I'm still getting the growler! Even if I only get it filled a few times a year, it's still worth it.

 

SO i have looked EVERYWHERE in the store and do not see a link for the growler either...am i missing something?

Login, verify under Account / Payment Profile it shows Reserve or Hoarders.
If good, continue to Beer -> Current Allocations
If bad, email society desk

 

Yeah it still shows me as Hoarders for 2016...i checked under allocations and it says nothing is there (Prob why i couldnt get the tickets too)

I have had nothing but probs with this "new" store...grrrrrr
