Good morning BAs! Well, the turtles have been fed but I'm (temporarily) out of Breakfast Stout so this New Breakfast Beer will have to do:



Pretty good. A can of this will be in the NBS BIF #5 porch bomb which I am assembling.

Upland Brewing Champagne Velvet
"The Beer with the Million Dollar Flavor"

There is a story behind this beer's recipe if you're into that kind of thing. It's a good pre-prohibition pilsner brewed right up the road in Bloomington, IN. The top 250 vs. bottom 100 thread got me looking at BA scores. Let's just say, there are a couple styles that I just don't like. But, I'm not going to log in to BA to give them a horrible review either. Respect beer, brewers and history folks and Drink Well!

Best Trillium beer I've had! AWESOME STUFF!

look: 3.5 | aroma: 3.5 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.75

Light banana yellow color with white cap and good lace.

Not much aroma, just hints of light citrus hops with floral aspects and piney overtones. Little malt or grain presence.

Taste is bright as Spring Sun light and light as Spring air. No kidding, Coors Light has more flavor. Not as bright and spritely as this brew, but more nonetheless. Hops are almost juicy, and are clean, round tasting, but resolve into a slightly sharp bitterness in the aftertaste.

Texture is light - medium in the light wheat brew sense.

Well, if they wanted to make a brilliant Spring time beer they succeeded. Unfortunately this tweener doesn't have much going for it, just a light wheat brew flavored with hops. I didn't come to see a ball kicked around, I want to see a score.

 

A juice bomb without the haze. Loving the Citra and Mosaic.
