Who would have thought that a team that lost six of their last nine games would be in the Elite Eight? Amazing run by the South Carolina Gamecocks!
Starting the day with some comfort food (tater tot pie) and a comfort beer.
    Happy Saturday!

Good morning BAs! A typical spring day here in NW PA - cool and threatening to rain. Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Definitely feel the burn with this one, but it's a good burn!

Good morning BA, have a great Saturday! Going to be a nice relaxing day for me. Supposed to rain all weekend, so I will be working some overtime to meet some report deadlines today and tomorrow. Along with getting a trade box out the door asap. I will be doing a bit of shopping to finish that up today. Also need to update my music library, falling behind on the latest metal releases.

Fantastic as usual. Flavors of big toasted coconut, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, cream, toffee, dark bread, and light coffee. Light balancing roast bitterness against sweetness. Awesome creamy/silky medium body; light touch of sticky/chalky roast character and dryness. I love this stuff. If I could have bought a case, I would have. At least I have Blackrocks Coconut Brown to get my coconut fix in, when I run out of this. It’s quite similar in a lot of ways. I am down to 1 can left. I hope we see more of it this year.

Insane DIPA as always. Finally found a fresh 4 pack a couple weeks ago. Bright hop flavors of lemon, orange, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel, light pepper, and pine hops; with light honey, bready malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine resin/spicy bitterness. Balanced sticky/resinous hops and creamy/grainy malts in the mouthfeel. Increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Highly drinkable and pretty crisp finishing. One of my top favorite DIPAs when fresh, just wish fresh packs were easier to find more often. Seems to only be every 6 months or so around here. Very juicy/dank on hop characteristics and not overly resinous, just the right amount. Mosaic hops are the best, this might be the first one I had with them included way back in 2013. Will definitely grab another 4 pack of this batch when I finish the first one. Still only 2 months old at this point according to Victory's 5 month best by window.

Awesome as usual! Flavors of nutty meduim roast coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, molasses, toasted dark bread, and hints of dark fruits. Bittersweet roasted finish; with a great creamy/silky and lightly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel. Slightly drying. Highly drinkable with great well balanced coffee/stout complexity. Doesn't hold a candle to Founders, but I still love it for its own reasons. More of balanced coffee stout, with more dark malt sweetness and less roast/char bitter/dryness; while still having a ton of nutty/fruity coffee character. This is basically my second go-to favorite coffee stout for the price. I am a bit mad they are not releasing it this year(Hell Hath No Fury is the trade off I think, which is OK by me). Will have to grab a few six packs. It ages great for a coffee stout.

Revisiting this review after 5.5 years. This was great! Amazing head retention and dense lacing on the glass. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, apricot, mango, melon, lemon, pear, banana, pepper, clove, and light bubblegum; with moderate wheat, bready, light honeyed malts; herbal, floral, grassy hops; and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate floral/grassy hop bitterness and yeast spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus body; grainy wheat creaminess and light hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Lightly drying. Very drinkable, minimal warming ABV. Glad I revisited this, different than I remember in 2011. Less hazy/yeasty with more hop presence, but I was a big fan. More like a DIPA with balanced yeast character. Met all of my expectations. Their style representations always stray from the norm, and I am OK with that.

Lagunitas Hop Stoopid for breakfast. How come you taste so good? this brew will hold me over until Monday when Bell's Oberon is released. I can't wait. Cheers[IMG]
Another sketch from me. I hope you all don't mind. I wanted to make a mock-up of the Stone brewing gargoyle. Except I gave him a Japanese demon like profile and removed his tail. Just for fun. Hope you all like "it".[IMG]

Yea, so... this is incredible. I would never usually pick it out of the crowd, because I don't like farmhouse or tart... but wow am I glad I did.
