There is really no way to tell without knowing how much will actually be brewed. For some reason it has not been disclosed yet as to how many cases will be available.

I dont have any intel but I think its safe to assume its a "normal" run for each can, probably between 180-250 cases. Im not sure they have ever done a double batch when there are 4 cans. Seems like double batches only happen when there are 2/3 cans.

was gonna say the same. I don't think I've seen a double batch on a 4 can release... hm Could be wrong. Last time mylar bags was released maybe?

I'm excited for the wheat IPAs. Never had one by OH

Follow up question: had a few OH beers so far, Double Dry Hopped Mylar Bags, Double Dry Hopped Double Mosaic Dream and the last Anniversary IPA were awesome.

(Citra-dry-hopped) Trillium Fort Point (and its' siblings Galaxy, Mosaic and DDH) is always my base beer for comparison, because it is repeatedly accessible to me in Boston, part of their regular rotation. Add in Julius, Green and Alter Ego to my comparative baseline, but those require a 3 hr commitment themselves because of the drive.

Don't take this wrong way as I have the objective to better understand OH this year: for an out of stater like myself, Other Half puts out a "I make it, you buy it, you like it" impression...with the result generally lying between "better than most" and great, the far best in NYC from what I've had, but generating a bit of "brand confusion" along the way because of the perceived constant experimentation. Does it have some gems in constant rotation of the caliber above? If so, what are the the top 3-5 "flagships?

Also, with all of these can permutations, do they also become available for pours/growlers? If so, when relative to the can release do they become available and how long do they last on draft? I can get down to NYC monthly, but Saturday is actually the least convenient...because the answer to "what else are you going to do on a Saturday morning" involves the fact I have a fiancee and we both travel for business

Regular rotation beers, not really. When they first started canning, Green Diamonds, Hop Showers and All Green Everything were in constant rotation, a little while later they added printed cans for Forever Ever and IPA. However, these beers are brewed maybe every few months. I would say lately the most consistent beers being brewed are Double Mosaic Dream and All Citra Everything. As far as being on the level of Tree House or Trillium, that's personal preference, but OH beers are very different than those two breweries and if you are looking for a Tree House style IPA im not sure you will get that at OH.

Every beer that is canned becomes available for pours and growlers pretty much immediately after cans sell out. I would say they last in the tap room for about a week or two.

besides the regulars listed above (minus the anniversary beer), All Citra Everything and Hop Showers are probably their most consistently great regulars in the rotation.

Yes, the experimentation and collabs are plentiful.. and some are gems people wish stuck around more often, and some are one and dones that are forgotten.

That would be the best option...rather than playing Beer Can Russian Roulette, I can have Mother's Day Brunch in Delaware, sample pours Sun afternoon on the way home (enjoying the "intimate" industrial Brooklyn vibe with the fiancee and dog), then contact OH sources to trade for my favorites.

What's a Sun afternoon like at the brewery these days? haven't been in a while...

Your post essentially hits the nail on the head. While there are some beers that are 'regularly' rotated, it can still be a month or two before you see them. All Green Everything is their flagship beer. Hop Showers is still made consistently, and Green Diamonds (sadly) has fallen out of favor.

I live on Long Island, and I'm seeing more and more shops around here getting the other half releases. While you may think I'd enjoy that because it saves me a ride out to Brooklyn, the mark-ups at $10-$12 a can are absurd, and I will NOT pay that for any "local" beer ever.

People should start calling out these places that are illegally selling cans.

Agreed. Get Wheated (collab they did with Bunker last year) was one of my favorite beers they've made, so my interest is high.

Why is it illegal? Not doubting, just wondering what the rules are

something tells me OH wouldn't be very happy about it... legal or not... however given the archaic liquor laws and three tier system, I'm sure there is something not kosher about it as well.

Stores aren't allowed to go buy something off the street and then sell it themselves. It needs to be distributed to them.

Given their affinity for 90s hip hop I am surprised they haven't made any OH buckrt hats yet. And some Chicken and DDH Broccoli Timbs would be next level but I'm not even sure the other crew would get that reference.
