Any recommendations for fruity farmhouse/saison above 7%? Preferably barrel-aged (no preference on barrel type).

A recommendation for a strong, fruity, barrel aged saison... got nothing. Sorry. I'm assuming fruity means New Zealand hopped, fruit added, or something other than what one can simply get out of yeast. If that's not the case @BeerPugz , keep your eyes open for Brett saisons (but those can swing in directions far away from fruity too).

Saison D'Brett from Funkwerks is an excellent example. Kind of like Boulevard's Saison Brett with more citrus/passion fruit flavors.

Tropic King from Funkwerks is not barrel-aged but otherwise fits the bill.

I don't have a specific beer in mind, but if Cascade, Stillwater, or Lodgson breweries distributes to your area (or you can trade) one of them might have something that checks your boxes . Barrel-aging reduces the options considerably though, but you might find some aged on plain oak.

This may be lacking your preference it's not barreled but Avery Perzik (peach) saison should be out now. At 6.4% abv I remember it standing out for me.

But Peachy King is/was. I thought that one was great.

(That was a limited release that I would imagine is now only available via trade..assuming, of course, someone even has a bottle left for trade)

Locally Vainish Farm brewery out of Lucketts/Leesburg VA has a wine barrel aged saison clocking in at 14%. Haven't had it so can't vouch for its quality. Just saw it on their taplist.

They don't call it a saison, but Russian River's Compunction sounds like it might be up your alley.

    Right you are!

    “BREWER'S NOTES

Our sparkling Belgian Style Farmhouse Ale is wine barrel-aged with an abundance of hand-zested orange peel. Spicy white pepper notes contrast the citrus tartness. The light, refreshing, creamy vanilla finish will excite those fond of Champagne.”
