Cheers Ba! I am having the last two beers form my beer camp case. I said I would save the beers I thought were the most daring for last. This one is the second to last.

    Raspberry Sundae .

    [IMG] [IMG]

Pours a rusty orange with a scrumptious beige head of foam that lasts and clings. In the right light you can see the blush from the raspberry. Clear. This is a very sexy beer.

Nose is raspberry, cream, cocoa, vanilla . If beer could smell like ice cream this is it! Malt is toasty. Creamy, fresh, fruity , sweet.

Taste is fabulous. I am in love. Milky rich, creamy but not heavy. Bubbly. Full of fruit. The cocoa is earthy, the bitter perfectly balanced. Drinks much more lightly than I expected and is refreshing despite the lactose.

When I read fruit beer and lactose too my first fear was this will be much too sweet. It wasn't. Lively which means there was a hops presence, fresh, refreshing and malty. I liked it very much!

Snuck in a quick trip to the ER to get 4 sutures in my son's toe last night after he tore it open on a jagged piece of concrete. Now looking at this

Chance of more than 8" of rain the next 72 hours. The silver lining is one of us had to stay out of the ocean for the rest of the week.
Luckily I am prepared for such occasions.

Morning or afternoon, BAs, we are officially in a painful heatwave, still better than the pouring rain that made me leave this place two months ago... Piraat, cheers!

Having a 3 Fonteinen Oude Kriek (2015). Bought this 3 Fonteinen some time ago and kept it for a warm summer day. Not sunny here at the moment, but still rather warm for this part of the World.
Taste is cherries, krieks, and funky. Hints of almonds that sometimes even turns into marzipan. Wonderful fruity kind of mild sourness.
    Cheers!

My son picked this up because it said Guinness on the label. Yeah, he's an educated guy but not in beer. . .

Clear, light gold color, white cap and decent lacing.

Pleasant mild aroma of malt (grain?) with a hint of floral hops.

Taste is straight forward, middle of the road lager with enough heft and hop bite to place it above average though my BudLight friends shouldn't find it a challenge.

This is a happy child with unaffected good humor. Nothing complicated, plain as Irish stew. A light-medium lager on the Euro model. Enough malt and hops to be interestingly above average but nothing that aspires to great heights.

A bottle of heavy fuel to get me through some house cleaning this morning. I'm stoked that we're finally getting this beer in Indiana. Not sure if the abv. is higher than the 11.5% listed here, but damn it's packing some heat and I'm fine with that. Time to get a move on....

    Good afternoon guys and gals,

I am having Mr Orange by Tapistry Brewing in Bridgman Michigan for brunch. A belgian style witbier ale with blood oranges rose hips& chamomile.Appears yellow with a noticeable orange hue on the upper surface. Little to no head. Nose is of belgian yeast. This brew is quite light bodied and a bit flat to be honest.Taste leaves much to be desired albeit there is a far slight hint of orange pulp there in the floaties.Overall ok.Cheers![IMG]

Sticking to the Belgian sour theme wit this Lindemans Gueuze Lambic in the evening sun now.

Maybe should have tasted the 3 Fonteinen that I had before after I had this one. On the other hand, besides being sours from Belgium, these sours are incomparable.
This Lindemans is a nice quality product on it’s own. And widely available around here at the moment (supermarkets) for a reasonable price.
    Cheers!
