A dry hopped Saison somewhat reminiscent of a Prairie Brett Saison but not as good. 3.5
A - Pours a hazy pale yellow with brownish tendencies. Average lacing. 3.75
S - An even combination of lacticness and floral hoppiness. 3.75
T - A sour Saison. Hoppiness is overwhelmed by the sourness. Not excessive but this beer is not defined by its hoppiness. 3.75
MF - Medium bodied with a mild sour finish. 3.75

this was a tasty dry hopped saison, with a wonderfully complex yeast profile and a clean hoppy finish, its full of flavor, but its also kind of subtle. not as over the top on the dry hops, not so juicy and new school, more restrained and classic. a good mix of a french farmhouse type ale yeast and some light funky brett, dry and rustic to me, with some fruity notes of its own. on tap, this is a hazy off golden color with a short white head but lots of bubbles, and its aroma is equal parts hops and yeast, but its so well integrated that some of each seems almost lost to its counterpart, if that makes any sense, like this doesnt pop like the best beers in the style, at least for me. what i like about it is the unfamiliar yeast, wild in a new way, and kind of tame even in its full maturity, and how the hops stay sort of true to the european saisons, even though they are much more forward than most. this is a very well made beer, maybe not quite as compelling as i hoped it would be, but its very obvious from this one that these guys are highly competent, and i look forward to trying more of their stuff. more complex and far higher quality than entry level, but something is missing for me for whatever reason...

Tacoma's finest brewery, on par with anything up in Seattle. Picked this up at my local bottle shop in So Cal. It's allegedly dry hopped, but the hops are subtle, which I like. Too much hop in a saison is no bueno. This was clearly bottle aged with a strong secondary fermentation going on. They have it down. Very bright, fizzed out and alive. A hint of tropical notes, from the dry hops, but it's fleeting. The back end is very saison smooth and crisp. A delightful little brew. Kudos to Engine House No. 9! A saison worth its weight.
