Beer Trading Updates: Prefixes, Replying, Moderation and More!

This is awesome update. Great work on the self-moderating trading threads. I haven't seen any shit threading unless people decided to edit and delete other user's replies. Glad to see it's running smoothly.

 

It's only day 1 I've seen many comments deleted already--put to good use!

 

But where will everyone go for entertainment now?

If there is any way to further standardize the titles of the posts, that would be awesome. If every post started with ISO: _____ that would make scanning the list a whole lot easier - right now it's about 60/40 posting ISO first vs. FT first. Really minor thing, but my OCD kicks in and it could just be cleaner, haha.

 

That would actually be fantastic.

 

I have no idea about the programming side of the site, but would it be possible to have two "Title" fields when you go to post - the first being ISO, the second being FT, and then the title would auto populate with what the user entered?

 

Sometimes people want the order to be different to put more emphasis on what they're trading as opposed to what they're ISO, to state the least of it.

 

I could do without the prefixs: $4$, Limited and Locals. I'm scrolling through trying to decipher all the longer abbreviations (BAIGCCS) and the tags make it more difficult. It doesn't add any value for me, more of clutter. Glad to see replies are back with self moderation, should be interesting.

 

If you're only looking for "limited," such as with BAGICCS for example, it's easy to just select "limited" at the top. Then all posts start at the same spot, and you can scroll down with effectively just an indent to the page. That should help.

 

By far the absolute best aspect of leaving replies is that you can now tell someone that their inbox is full. I have no idea how people dealt with this before, as I never found a workaround.

Yup, even though I was against comments I was glad to see the majority feedback was heard, considered and applied.

 

Can we only post one trade at a time? I posted one in ISO: FT as $4$ and now wanted to post in the IP Pacific. System won't let me.

 

Did you try posting them very quickly back-to-back? If so, there probably is something set up in the system to prevent speed-posting (read: spam).

 

One per 24 hours. I think it has been this way for over a year or more (but don't quote me on timing).
