What beer are you drinking now? #1747

Mean Old Tom from MBC. Second pour from a bottle opened last night. Considering it is a "stout aged on natural vanilla beans" the vanilla flavor is very mild. Also feels more like a porter than a stout. Cheers!

 

Good Morning BA and thanks to @tolar111 for starting the thread. I'm doing a check in on an IPA I brewed in February. I keep the last two of each batch for a 6 & 12 month check. I figured I would include the IPAs for science.

I used a little oats in this IPA, did not filter or fine and dry hopped, but it's still very bright. The honey addition comes through now that the hops have fallen off some. It's been in the fridge since it was carbed and really hasn't changed a lot. Yeah science! Cheers

An uneventful morning around here, I think I'll open and review a beer. I mean malt liquor. Or is it bourbon? While it's pretty hot and packed with bourbon squelching anything that's trying to sneak through, it is pretty good in a unique way. I appreciate Founders taking chances putting something different in barrels with this series. I'll be curious to see how this tastes down the road in 6-12 months? Cheers barflies!
