    Just the thing for a rainy day . . .

    Dark reddish brown color with tan cap and lacing.

    Aroma of dark roasted malt with toffeeish undertones. A dark bread malty richness with a whif of hop coating.

    Taste is rich dark malt with a sense of liquid toffee touched with a hint of licorice. These rich flavors on entry mellow out mid palate while hops play some light notes in the background. I was expecting some sweetness to show up and was pleasantly surprised when it didn't. Flavors fade in the aftertaste ending with a touch of cocoa bitterness.
