Just thinking out loud -- if there are 23 people, are 2 bottles too many? That's a TON of beer if we're bringing 750's (particularly for a Monday night).

 

idk- and we may be at 26- i think 2 oz is pretty good. if they dont all get cracked then no big deal? thinking out loud as well!

 

If we have possibly 26 people at 2 oz per person that's 52 oz minimum. Were the people on the google doc bringing 52+ oz's of each beer listed. Maybe I am stating the obvious but just asking the question.

I have 2 beers of that quantity that I can list on the google doc to bring but will probably only be around to share one of them with it being a Monday and all.

Forbidden Root is just awesome. Went in yesterday to finally get to try Night Moth, and the tap list was probably best I've seen it since I've been going there: Night Moth, Ghost Tropic, and Radio Swan all on tap at the same time! Ghost Tropic is tasting even better now a couple weeks out, just incredible juice. Night Moth is super smooth and super complex. Also got to try the citra and motueka saison which was awesome. I think Forbidden Root is doing the best NE styles in Chicago: Night Moth, Ghost Tropic, and Radio Swan are all so different from each other. They don't feel like just a different hop bill with different ABV. Really great distinct beers in the NE style. Nice to get to say what's up to @KrajDoesBeer as well.

 

Updated what I'm bringing. Can't wait to see everyone tonight.

And if anyone hasn't had Night Moth lately, the oak is getting more pronounced. Very cool experiment to try it over time.

The Pisco berliner was a pretty nifty change of pace too. Sounds like there's lots of fun stuff on the horizon.

Just want to thank everyone for coming out last night- I think that turned out really well. Total hit 18 people. Keeping it 20 and under maybe the smart move. Thanks to you all for sharing some really fun stuff! Sept is a crazy busy month for us so picking the next date will have to late a little while! Maybe first week of Oct.
