A recycled photo of WBIADN but needed some of this coffee-juice from my personal travel stash (from CO) to deal with this morning. Was up and about and stayed for far too long at Local Option last night ("Sir, all of our stouts are 10% or above") - did get to enjoy a Peche Mortel, however, so...cheers!

Cheers you all! I am kind of afraid to show the rest of my album photos on the fizboo. You see, I hate clutter. So I was throwing these out. Lots of people are mad. Money they said. I spent money years ago it's true. But to drag them to the pawn shop is much farther than to the trash.

Not the Billy Joel albums OMG!

Cheers :smirk: how about some lamb stew today? eh?

I saved one album it's this one. it's called Introducing the beatles and no one has it. No one. My father whom you have to believe about some things, was in the army in italy when he saw the beatles in hamburg. He says to this day; "Mah sunamabitch. I couldn' drink enough to drown out the noise. The beatles." Then he snorts a little.

He reminds me of beelzebub, my father does. Cheers! be back with my lamb stew and some kind of beer.

Accepted a job offer last week that will move me to... Houston. Yes, that Houston being bombed with insane amounts of rain.

While extremely excited for an amazing opportunity I can't help but think about all the shit that's been going on with the weather the past 5 days.

This is a 1 in a million storm, happening every 500 years, but I can't help to think "why is this happening now?!... right before I move there??!" I'll be there next Friday, Sept 8, starting my job 9/11.

The KBS 750 tastes "meh". Nothing special. The 2014 Java Coffee Eclipse I had last week for the eclipse was every bit as good if not better.

Mix a six and take your pick . . .

Dark mahogany brown with gold highlights around the edges. Good tan cap and decent lacing.

Herbal, spicy, slightly coffeeish, toffeeish aroma with something like dark figs in the background. Not really catching any hops but these heavy flavors usually cover that up anyway.

Taste on entry is dark toffee quickly followed by the herbal element. Don't know exactly what that element is, perhaps a lager yeast at warmer temperature fermentation has created that but it's in there and it taste good. Mid palate I'm getting more of the plummy, ripe fig influence which is just adding layers to the first impression flavors. Spicy, clove like threads weave in by the finish and linger in the aftertaste along with a touch of coffee but no roast bitterness.
