Evening everyone! Just got home from a day full of band practices, got the football game on (crushed my fantasy opponent today!) and am making some food. Have a few options for NBS I'll be back to review soon! Cheers y'all!

Rivertowne headless Wylie. Review 999. 10 years and I am finally almost there... quick ratings are just so much easier...anyway this is an awesome pumpkin ale if that's your thing.

I don't do untapped or take pics of my beer.
I have a beer I have been chasing for years from Allagash reserved for #1000

Happy New Football Length (NFL) & Beer Sunday (Week 655), Part II!

Th' Stillers had some offensive hiccups, but they ultimately prevailed over their neighbors 135 miles to their NW. Phew! I would have had egg not only on my face, but all over my body (& maybe in some orifices) had they lost. Platform has definitely impressed me, despite their city of origin.

I CANtinued my taste of Kleveland with:

I will readily admit that Saisons are generally not my bag, but man, the ginger & lemon just sent me. I seugued from that one into:

I totally dig experimentation in all of its forms. From there, I felt CANpelled to drink their:

Much better! By that point, Th' Stillers had managed to hold on to a 3-point win (NEVER bet Th' Stillers minus the spread) & I was happy, but not satiated. Time for:

That shot my load for Platform, but was I done? Were the Germans done when they bombed Pearl Harbor?!? Me, done with KLE? Only when I do wipey-wipey on your pillowcase just before leaving am I done! Nossir, I was closing in on the grand finale, but I had another Kleveland brewery in mind before moving over to WBAYDN:

New beer this week comes from Pulpit Rock, it's a DIPA called Rhyme Animal.

Poured from a crowler, canned just about three weeks ago.

Pours REALLY turbid, dark orange/chicken broth color. Nose is sweet, tropical, citrus-y notes, definitely smells like an orange. Taste follows well, the tropical fruit aspect coming out more. Mouthfeel is great for this style, soft and pillow-y, though perhaps a bit on the chakly side. Overall really enjoyed this one, feel as though it's a bit underrated on here for whatever reason. Really solid NEIPA coming out of the Midwest.

    Cheers y'all!

    Well Hello Late Night NBS.
Thanks for the start @cjgiant .
My only real sports vice is March Madness. I've never really entertained the idea of even participating in any fantasy leagues. Well, until last week. My nephew wanted to organize a league...so I'm in. I'm not the clinical, analytical, intelligent sports fan. So I built my team around a player I know and respect, Aaron Rodgers. He did pretty well for me today. So we'll see.

As for fermented fun, I popped a very unique Berliner today. An homage to an Arnold Palmer. And with the heat and humidity here, it was a great call. Green Cheek Beer Co. collaborated with Mikkeller San Diego for this unique beer. One really interesting thing about it is they used coffee in place of tea. Color me impressed.

Thoughts and prayers are going out to all along the southern shores, as well as those in the other islands of the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico, and of course to those in Oaxaca.

Oh...and a big thanks to our very own @beertunes and his accomplice extraordinaire @LehighAce06 for facilitating our mayhem that is now officially NBS's 6th BIF.

    Let the madness begin!!!

Greetings late night NBS, my lat few weeks one would think I was in CA instead of GA. Busy day entertaining my stepdaughter who evacuated Tampa, keeping my sons entertained, and visiting the parental units. Finally enjoying a beer and the calm before the storm tomorrow, my employer has shut down until Tuesday (yeah, free vacation day with pay) and my sons will be out of school (let them think it was a school night so they wouldn't argue bedtime). Enjoying the breeze and cooler weather on the back porch, the Angel Trumpets are in full bloom and as fragrant as ever, too bad they will be beaten off the bush tomorrow.
Tonight's first one was acquired on an anniversary trip last week that almost ended at the first stop, still not sure how we ended up in Veil's parking lot for the first stop on a 'it's our anniversary, not a brewery trip', seriously those Richmond exits are a bit confusing for an out of towner.
Anyway first beer(probably only) is Veil Personvl Spvce

Pours a hazy, golden orange with two fingers of dense white head that hung around for a bit and left plenty of lacing.
Smells of tropical fruits, pineapple and mango to be specific.
Tastes much the same, more ripe fleshy fruit and a slight malty finish. A bit of alchohol warmth on the tongue but still quite smooth.
Seems a little low on the carbonation.
Overall a tasty brew, wish there were more readily available beers like this in GA.

Thanks for the kind words! I am admittedly a bit of a homer when it comes to beer, but this is one I was confident my recommendation was not influenced by anything but the beer's greatness. Glad you enjoyed it, and Cheers! to whomever sent you that one, the line to get it was pretty long I heard.

Well, the fourth quarter has ended in the clock is at 0:00. Looking at the tape, we had a few well executed place, and some that we would like to have back. Thank you for all that contributed, hope to see you here again next week.
