Good morning! A classic coffee beer in a classic surreptitious vessel.

More Tuesday beer while waiting for dinner to get done. This is Hoppy Rabbit, an IPA by new Swedish/Irish brewery Uncharted Brewing Co, new for me.

Already had "coffee," now it's time for some "juice." I figure no better time to break into this monster (courtesy of @JayORear ) than the last day of a (much needed) four day weekend, especially with my yard work already complete.

Really nice Citra-hopped single IPA. I'm finding it far more bitter than the brewer describes, but that's a very good thing in this day and age of low bitterness juice bombs.

OK, it's solid. But I can't see all the hype in the MI beer groups with everyone comparing it to Boss Tweed... Everyone that is saying that must be high or something, this doesn't even come close to Boss Tweed. Just a decent double NEIPA in my opinion. No higher than an even 4, at best.

Good morning, all! If you tuned in yesterday, you might have seen the Ring for a Refill mug. It was a beer mug with a bicycle bell attached to the handle. I found one at Goodwill (it's still there, BTW) and wasn't sure if it was really a thing. A little research confirmed that it was indeed a thing, and that the thing is widely available. Well, go ahead and tinkle your little bell if that makes you happy. Me? I want everyone in the tri-state area know that my supersize mug is empty. Honk for a Fill-up!

On to the beer. This is a quasi-local gem that just started showing up on the shelves here: Düber Dubuque Pilsner, a German-style pilsener brewed by Potosi Brewing, Potosi, WI. There isn't a whole lot not to like about this. Light malty backbone, very pleasant spicy hop bitterness, a hint of citrus zest on the finish, very flavorful and drinkable. Prost!

That bitterness is exactly why I love it. For me, it's Trillium-level, as far as that balance goes.
