I hope so, because Dragon's Milk is garbage.

Funny that you assume that I dislike Dragon's Milk because of that. I am not the biggest fan of BCBS or KBS either for what it's worth. (KBS used to be better a few years ago, and BCBS is good for what it is... I'm just not crazy about what it is.) I just think Dragon's Milk tastes bad.

    I'm honestly puzzled how:

    Garbage = "year round".

4.03 or not, Dragon's Milk is one of the worst BA stouts I have ever drank.

    While we're on the topic...

    BCBS>Monstrosus>Black Note>KBS...

although in a direct side by side between BCBS and Monstrosus I preferred Monstrosus. After drinking enough of those 2 side by side the sweetness in BCBS became a bit too much.

Southern Tier Monstrosus is the closest beer to BCBS that I have ever tasted.

Edit: maybe Monstrosus would be my actual favorite, but the fact that it's $20 for a bomber detracts a bit for me.

Surprised no one here has brought up Parabola. I'd take that one over any of the others being mentioned.

you seemed surprised that someone assumed you didn't like dragons milk based on your calling it garbage. As for garbage = "year round" @DISKORD made that assumption but I know what he was getting at.

At times this thread has become way too serious and/or negative. S0-

To save the economy, Congress will announce they are ordering the immigration department to start deporting old people (instead of illegals) in order to lower Social Security and Medicare costs. Old people are easier to catch and will not remember how to get back home.

I started crying when I thought of you.

    .....see you on the bus.

Will the bus stop at Cracker Barrel for lunch? I like their soups.

I've had Bcbs going back from the 2007 bottling, and IMO they easily last 4-5 years with no fade at all. Ive had 3-4 years old Kbs too, and its certinly age worthy as well, it loses the sharp edges of the bitter coffee, but the flavors and barrel stay put.

strange distribution on everything. they like to play up the chicago-land release thing on the variants, pushing Jewel and Binny's locations, then Costco of all places gets variants, and due to the turnouts and allocations (Binnys FFA, Costco 1pp), I didn't even get the one I wanted. Kinda pissed.

The uneven distro might point to rewarding places based on yearly sales. The other GI stuff will never ever sell here unless they were free, so if that's true I suppose I'll never see a variant again and only one Reg pp.

Had a 2017 BCBC 14.1% regular last night and it did not seem as barrel heavy as I remembered from 2015 and 2016. Also thought it did have less barrel taste than 2017 KBS or fresh BA Fidy, but still tastes real fine - lots of chocolate.

When folks say "like licking the barrel" are they talking inside or outside? If inside how do you get your head in the bunghole, and if outside how do you get the slivers out?

Call me a troll fine I don't give a shit. "Licking a barrel" maybe exaggerated but it's like drinking tree sap or pine needles in an IPA. But yes you didn't think it was as barrel heavy? And you've had this beer before and it was a 14.1 and you thought 2017 KBS was more barrel heavy. Thanks the point I was trying to make.
