    Humor me, Folks.
I haven't started this tread in years.
I'm enjoying an this classic from SoCal Port Brewing's Santa's Little Helper. It's better than I remember.
You folks on the NE and upper Midwest, I wish you well.

Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! Supposed to finally warm up a little bit today, but have some snow coming in as well. Back to my usual normal Sunday errands of bottle returns and laundry as usual after the holidays last week.

Thanks to @RaulMondesi for this revisit. This is amazing! Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, and piney hops; with moderate honey, toasted bread, light caramel malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced bready/grainy creaminess and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin dryness, zero hop astringency. Aggressive yet smooth. Perfectly balanced dank and juicy hops; nice malty backbone without being too sweet/heavy. Lives up to what I remember. Juicy Citra hops with dank Columbus/Simcoe character.

Fantastic Russian imperial stout! Amazing lasting head retention and thick soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, dark bread, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, smoke, charcoal, raisins, and herbal/peppery/piney hops. Light-moderate roast/char and piney/spicy hop bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and full body; balanced creamy/silky malts, sticky hops, and chalky char/roast in mouthfeel. Lightly increasing hop/char dryness; never acrid or astringent. Super smooth, minimal warming 9.9%. Will definitely pick this up again. Nails the style perfectly. Rich and complex malts with nice earthy hop presence.

This is amazing! Aromas and flavors of huge raisin, plum, fig, date, cherry, red apple, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, brown bread, vanilla, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, and light clove/pepper yeast spice. Balanced sweetness and yeast/tannic oak spice on the finish. Medium-plus bodied; very smooth finish with nice creamy/silky/slickness in the mouthfeel. Light spicy yeast/tannic oak dryness; zero cloying. Incredible balance between the barrel and classic quad complexity. Minimal warming ABV, no barrel booze. Well attenuated and not overly sweet. One of my favorite BBA Quads of all time. Grabbed a LOT of it this year. Was much easier to find. Well worth the price. Hoping that Love Shadow gets the same distribution this year. They are their 2 best beers, but I am a fan of most of the lineup.

This is amazing! Aromas and flavors of huge cinnamon, raisin, plum, cherry, fig, apple, date, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, brown bread, and light coconut/herbal hops. Light herbal/cinnamon bitterness and bourbon/oak tannin spice on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full bodied; creamy/silky/bready malt mouthfeel; with some light spice stickiness and oak tannins. Slightly increasing spicy/tannic dryness, no cloying. Insanely smooth, very mildly warming 13.3%, no booze at all(shocker!). I love this just as much as the base beer. The cinnamon is definitely pronounced, but hardly overpowering. The whole package is perfectly balanced between yeast, malts, spice, and barrels. Was pretty hard to find in MI last year, hope they make it again. Kind of tastes like apple pie with the English yeast fruitiness. The base beer is my favorite shelf BBA English barleywine of all time. I always have multiple packs in the cellar.

The wife went to work at 0430, the least I can do is have breakfast and clean the wood & tile floors. Looking forward to high of 61 degrees today. Our crappy FL heat pump is tired.....

Morning you all! I have a cheeky pairing for my breakfast today. I am going to pair beer with yogurt. Why? because I can that's why. See you over in NBS. did you know there is a popcorn icon on this website.

A euro strong lager called Saint Olmer 8,0%.

Its not that bad considering the style and I'm looking forward to review it when the lazy man who is sleeping in start NBS.

After 40 years of pediatrics, I've had most every virus you can think of, but every once in a while some cute little patient throws a new one at me. So I am going to heed my own advice and drink plenty of fluids.

    Morning BA

It's a bit too cold to spend this Sunday afternoon in the park, but a guy can daydream, can't he?

Happy Sunday to all. Looking forward to what will hopefully be some exciting football, and just getting things around the house in order.
