Dogs irritate me more than kids. People with dogs just let them wander around as if everyone there just loves dogs and wants to spend time with them. At least with kids most of my experiences are the parents corral them pretty well

Actually, most of the time it doesn't.

Most NEIPA's aren't that great and none are worth standing in line for!

    No beer is worth that.

I enjoy NEIPAs just as much as anyone else. But, I question how much of a substantial difference there really is between a Tree House or Trillium vs. any local brewer cranking them out here in Houston.

I mean - at the end of the day - the style isnt all that hard or time consuming to brew.

Hey now, there is no need to bring Sam Adams Triple Bock into this conversation.

I actually enjoy Habanero Sculpin, but don't have much use for the rest of the Ballast Point catalog.

There's about half a dozen breweries making great examples here in Pittsburgh. No difference to my palate.

Indeed. They are a little more expensive to brew than the "normal" beer, however. Hops are pricey.

    I can't decide between 2 possible responses:

    - true, they can't all be Pannepot Reserva.

    Or

    - they make quads in Belgium now?

No, but West's often talked about in those terms.

I'd rather have Rochefort or Bernardus any day of the week ..

Now this does get me going, but I haven't mentioned anything despite having typed up a post once or twice for the pet peeve thread.

Haze, in its true definition, is synonymous with cloudy and foggy. In other words, there is still a major degree of transparency to the beer, with the particles in suspensions contrasted against patches of clear beer.

"Hazy" NE IPAs are in fact, not hazy. They are not remotely transparent, and therefore are better described as murky, turbid, or my personal favorite - opaque.

If one of the major NE IPA producers popped out a beer that was truly "hazy", there would be a thread started up with haze bros and NE IPA fan boys alike calling the beer out for being too transparent.

I suppose it may be hard to market or hype up beer that is considered "murky", but I'm not a fan of the misnomer of "hazy".

The "I only drink cloudy IPAs, bruh" group that scoffs at anything else. Yes, I'm known to drink these beers by the dozens, but I still love the classics. I will never be too good to forget where I came from.

    That is all.

I was wondering how long it would take for Tree House to pop up.

They were pioneers, they are now just good for the experience (which is still an amazing thing, don't get me wrong, I am even planning a trip there to hang), not the beer, because as stated before there are a number of local smaller places that can knock the style out now that the cat is out of the bag. Hell, there is a place in northern Indiana here that is literally 6 stools and two 2 person tables that makes an out of control NEIPA that isn't far from TH.
